Mike…it’s been here for nearly a year now…I have tried to do a bit of digging in order some info as to what plans are for it, and have drawn a blank 🙁
Bright Eyes by Art Garfunkel.
How sweet ~barfs~
Buy Russian freighter. Take to Chino ‘Fill ‘er up’ !
Ok then…who’s driving? 😀
~Back from a quick gallop around the northside~
Meteor T7 WF877 in several pieces on the northside at Duxford.
Now, what do I win? A jar of Vegemite? 😀
The northside at Duxford? 🙂
I think it looks quite good, despite the absence of any real aircraft. I’ll definitely being going to see it (and before you ask, no, I’m not a fan of Jude Law – I think he’s decidedly over-rated :D)
Agree with the comments re the re-enactors – might have worked better if the actors had spoken in the present tense, or preferably using the veterans themselves. Also agree with sentiments expressed re the tit for tat bombings – thought the whole programme was not as unbiased as it should have been (did anyone notice the the RAF pilots, groundcrew and WAAFs were all featured in their messes/huts/workplaces, whereas the German pilots and bomber crew all seemed to be P.O.W – stark bunks and grey walls behind them, suggesting they were incarcerated somewhere…)
Count me in, Snapper 🙂 Would you like me to pop down to the Red Lion one lunchtime this week and give the plaque on the bench a bit of a polish? When Bigglesworth and I had a drink there a couple of weeks ago, it looks as though it could do with a bit of Brasso? Happy to help 🙂
~Gentle bump to the top~
Welcome to the forums Denise 🙂
Andrew…I have amended the title of this thread to something a little less provocative. If you have any concerns about this, please do not hesitate to PM me or one of the other moderators or the Webmaster.
Best wishes,

Nige…as this post is essentially a duplication of the post begun by andrewman on the same matter (see the link provided by von Perthes above) I have decided to lock this thread.
Any concerns about my action, please PM me or the Webmaster.
Thank you,

Bigglesworth…I have an interview a week on Wednesday for the job, so fingers crossed 🙂
Noisy neighbours reminds me of our next door neighbours in Canterbury who were REALLY into DIY…EVERY Saturday morning I’d get woken up around 6.30-7.00am by loud drilling, hammering, sawing and other DIY related noises…at first I used to grit my teeth, then I went round and politely asked them if they could possibly start a bit later in the morning…”**** off” was the reply…
Then World War Three started…their DIY antics versus my stereo 😀
Will always be remembered.
Snaps…do you defrost them first? (The peas I mean, not your nails) 😀 I pick my nails unfortunately – had false nails put on once and they irritated me so much that I yanked them off one by one :p
