    2 from memory, Peter’s and Rob Fleming’s, I know which one I’d go for….
Did anyone else notice how wet the ground was when the Hurricane took off? It certainly shifted a lot of water. Great to see Breighton on the Television.. All I need to do know is get hold of a copy of the Anglia TV ghost type programme filmed up at Hardwick a couple of years back.

As I understand it from previous conversations it could be made available, however at a price. You’d need to bear in mind that it’s been in a container for at least 8 years and unflown for longer than that so a systems overhaul surely must be on the cards now and probably an engine overhaul as well. It would be nice if it could come out one day, I’ve only ever seen it in a box…..

They are extremely complicated…. Now Stewart, ask yourself this, would you rather be chatted up by some girlie with a boyfriend or not be chatted up at all???? Boyfriends can always be replaced you know…
Personally I quite like being manipulated by girlies….

So would ‘converted’ be a better term rather than ‘butchered’. To be fair to the restorers the fuselage conversion is well done. Yes it also has extra fuel in the wings, but then so do a number of others.

Looks like Laurie from HFL, he did a great deal of work on TD248 at the time.

Are you sure it was radial engined?? Or could there have been a Merlin lurking in there?

I was meaning the bubble canopied version pictured just above the 262. Isn’t the razor back in these pictures the P47G with Planes Of Fame?

To me it looks as though it has the wrong centre section to be anything which might have started life as a Harvard.

These pictures are fantastic Mark, if you ever find anymore like these please please please post them. I take it the Thunderbolt in the last lot of pics was the one which went to Doug Arnold shortly afterwards?
