Whilst working away on a Harvard at Duxford some years ago one of the ‘experts’ insisted the aircraft was actually a Dauntless.
There was a similar incident over the discussion of the colour of the Mew Gull again at Duxford whilst I was working on the final preperation for it’s painting, can’t remember specific details of that one though.
You really have to wonder sometimes!!!!

Janie and the Doll are indeed up and about early, as I’m typing this I elected to go to work instead of Kemble!!!!! Must be mad.

Having already acheived my two main ambitions (Stearman and Mustang) I guess the warbird I would most like to fly in now would be a hard choice between a Corsair and a Sea Fury.

Woodchurch is the private grass strip in the grounds of Rob Davies house, the crowdline and runway are pretty close with the display line being beyond that. As for direction I believe you will be facing East. There will be people about better equiped to tell you what it was like from a spectators point of view, I was working so missed most of it, although watching the practices on the Saturday it looked very good from a spectators point of view it does however lack the 2nd runway / display axis which OW enjoys.
As well as aircraft there is also a gathering of classic vehicles etc for you to enjoy.

You post away old chap, whether anybody can be bothered to respond or not will remain to be seen after making such stupid comments.

A good number of people who post here have worked very long and hard to allow us to see the wide variety of vintage aircraft which we are lucky enough to see today, it would seem a very great shame to see them forced away. Still I guess as you’ve made your feelings clear that’s OK, best the rest of us shut up come round to your way of thinking and get on with it.

I’m seriously beginning to wonder if this is all worth while any more.

Lets hope that those involved with the aviation world stay with the forum, I for one would not blame them should they decide not to post here any longer however.

My B-25 was marked as an aircraft from No. 2 Sqn, RAAF, KO-P.

Is this the B25 which returned to America a few years ago and is now at Chino with the Yanks Air Museum? If so I have a couple of pics at home.
