I wasn’t getting at you, I was just commenting on the fact that it seems that it’s getting very difficult for the hardworking guys at TFC to get any peace at this time of year. Thankfully where I am now we can get on with the job and enjoy ourselves without everyone wanting to know the ins and outs of everything.

Not neccesarily, remember the Warbirds of Great Britain Collection (and now Flying A Services), and Charles Church etc, they seemed to get aircraft in and out without everyone wanting / demanding (at times) to know everything that was going on. Only the matter of 3 years or so ago we had a Mustang being built in the UK which only a very few people knew about.

As for my train journey it seemed to be pretty good considering, the only downside was spending best part of an hour at Marks Tey station due to the train from the smoke being 10 mins late

If you don’t make a mistake on flight plans why do you need to spend so long looking at the map trying to work out where you are??? Surely with an accurate flight plan you should know at all times where you are?

On the other hand if it was any other operator anywhere else in the UK they would be able to do whatever they wanted (within the bounds of the CAA / FAA) behind closed doors without everyone wanting to know what’s what.

If you are looking to find pilots who wish to bomb Coventry please let me know although I would have to smuggle out SWMBO’s Sister first so as to avoid sparking off a major diplomatic incident.

Yep that sounds like the B25 Grumpy, I have met other Grumpies before however none of them had RAF markings.
You may like to check out the Spitfire PL965 thread and http://www.realaero.com for progress on the Buchon. I saw it a month ago and it looks lovely, but still had some work to be done on it.

Ah, now I did mean to say that Woodchurch is near Ashford in Kent.

I think the French have a Lockheed 12 as well.
If the Dragon is Torquill Norman’s it’s a real beauty. Is the Aer Lingus one still flying? I’ve not seen anything of it in years.

I suspect the next show I attend will be Wings and Things at Woodchurch on 1st August. For those that like small intimate shows with a good display content (last year saw everything from a Neiuport replica to a Hunter F6) as well as some interesting ground exhibits (vintage cars, bikes, tractors etc) I would urge you to consider this show. I can almost promise you 2 Mustangs, a 450 Stearman, a Yak11 and 3 Harvards if nothing else!!!!!

Is there not still a B25 in France? Also I believe the French have 3 Corsairs.

Unfortunately I’m not John as I will be at a hanger dance on a Norfolk airfield.

Looking out of the window allowed me to see a shadow on the ground which looked very unlike the 172 I was flying on Monday night, a quick scan around drew my attention to a Herc zipping underneath me, thankfully as I was up at 3000 feet and he was closer to what I would guess was 1000 feet there was a lot of room between us.
