Just looking at the various picturs of Z2033 and it appears as though the image of Japan has changed colour, is this correct or is it the lighting?

Lets hope they don’t go the same way as the B25 some of the DC3’s or even the C119.

The Camel was the former Des StCyrien machine (G-ASOP) at the time owned by Tony Ditheridge. It was restored by some BCal engineers two of which later joined Tony to create some of the wonderful aircraft which have come out of AJD and Hawker Restorations over the years.

During it’s time at Old Warden (1993) it was sold to an American owner who’s name escapes me at the moment (may be Al Letcher). It has been for sale for at leat 3 years now and has even appeared on Ebay however the current asking price is $1.6m.

The Nieuport was at the time owned by Guy Black and was restored by Tim Moore this also went to America and is now at Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Back to the original question, I believe it was sold during 2003, I’ll be stuffed if I know who to though.

Norfolk, I know where that is I think.

I will try to make it along on the 6th, but I won’t know until nearer the time, possibly the 5th πŸ˜‰

Is that experience somewhat nicer than actually going for a blast in one?

Every flight in a P51 is an absolute buzz, it’s every bit and more than I ever thought it would be. Pulling 4g in a flyby is an awesome experience. You won’t be disappointed.

Thinking about it I have an Uncle who flew Hunter’s in Jordan many years ago.
