The undercarriage looks all wrong, surely it shouldn’t have that great big skid on the bottom, and it’s made out of the wrong material.

Other than G-DORA you mean?

Not sure what the status is of this little beast, but it arrived on the register in May.

From a personal point of view I probably wouldn’t use it. When I visited Duxford a couple of weeks ago I found all the guys at TFC very helpfull and friendly regarding information over the aircraft, those restorations are extremely detailed and well researched, they will be beautiful aircraft when once they are completed.
However I guess that this sort of thing would be useful to the engineers, that way they wouldn’t keep getting disturbed by people such as myself.
The same thing could be applied in the ARCO section of the hanger (where again I received nothing but help from the guys).

This year it would have to be Wings and Things at Woodchurch and the show at Old Buckenham, both of which are more intimate events with a fantastic content, Wings and Things would put most IWM Duxford events to shame with it’s range of aircraft, from WW1 to 50’s jets.

I have an unhealthy interest in Mustangs 😀 Dr Digby has prescribed a course of treatment which I am currently undertaking, however I keep having setbacks which prevent me from making a full recovery.
