And a few more….
Nice shots of the Lancaster Peter…
Are they working on the another engine..as the prop was missing..
Andrew
Yes CF-DQM a beautifully restored Fleet Canuck was in there..see picture… 🙂
The Seabees used the Rockcliffe runway for the afternoon and one of the DH Beavers used the Ottawa River(located just on the far side of the runway)…she sounded great on takeoff…you can heard her from miles away 🙂
And the Super Beech 18 was for sale for 98K USD….just need a little TLC 🙂
Andrew…
And the last ones….
And a few more….it was a nice day…
A few more taken on Saturday…
I take it that the slick tyres are an original WWII issue type…and rare as hen’s teeth!!
I wonder how challenging it is to remove and replace the tire/wheels on the Halifax?
Did any of the YAM taxiible aircraft perform at the airshow?
Opps getting my cockpits ID’s confused again…
Tis sad that both ES and EM were reduced to cockpits…I had seen pictures of G-APEM in the early 90’s in those DHL colours and she did look very smart…but a complete aircraft is much more expensive to park and preserve than a cockpit for sure..
James,
How complete internally are the cockpit sections of the Vickers Viscount and Vickers Merchantman G-APEJ?
I was told a while back that the Merchantman was almost acquired as a complete aircraft but it was reduced to scrap before the collection had a chance to stop them..
Andrew
Great collection and only a few minutes away from where I grew up 🙂
So nice to see them displayed outdoors once in a while…
Is the Mossie restoration complete? I think the last time I saw here she was still missing some major parts like engines etc
Are there two Vampires in the workshop?
I guess I could have checked their website .. 🙂
I did not realize that 1501 was the first Tracker built for the RCN. She deserves a place in the museum for sure..
