The Big Move

Looks like all when well for the “Hali” and right on schedule too!! Here are a few pictures taken Saturday morning of the move..kinda hard to photograph but you get the idea…the new Hangar looks HUGE for the Halifax..nice job indeed…too bad I had the wrong ISO setting on my Dig Camera,,can’t win some days…

The move?

I have heard that she was do to move this month. Some one had been told than it was scheduled to move on Oct 16th.

The collection seems to be growing very nicely..any more pictures of the Varsity’s new paint or perhaps the Viscount Cockpit?..

They had invited the first Labrador Pilot ( I forget his name) to fly on the final flight and he was quite emotional at the end of his flight…

The old thumper is quiet now…

Great pictures ….for me over on this side of the pond,,I find pictures of the airshows and museums great,,it gives me a chance to see how things are done over there!! 🙂

CWHM Hunter…

They had an ex-Swiss Air Force Hunter and it has just been sorta leased to a civilian group in Canada and it going to be made airworthly again..after a couple of years it will be returned to CWHM in airworthly condition..

Great museum..great collection..

Really enjoyed the photos..thks..

You certainly do not get much of view when in those Lancaster passenger seats..but the trip to the cockpit while in flight would get your heart pumping!!

It appears that WT333 the former RAE Canberra has made a couple of static runs this year..in May and now in July…Anyone know what future plans are in store for this historic aircraft?…..and when did WT333 acquire engines as I think I remember reading that the engines from WT333 were removed not long after arrival at Brunthingthorpe and that one is fitted in WK163 the other was out of hrs and was at Coventry…is a taxi possible in the near future!?

Buccanner Spares….

What’s the spares situation like for the Bruntingthorpe Buccanners..I remember you were looking for tires for both Buccs at Brunty and I think the runner at this year’s open jet day was unable to do a run due to the 20yr tire issue…will it be the same situation for the XW554…
