I guess we are all going to run out of airframe hours eventually..
Has the SA (South African) airworthly Shack finally ran out hours..I had heard on a few occasions that it was down to it’s last 100hr or less..
Just enough for training flights.
Great stuff Andrew…would you happen to have any of their Vulcan also?
I am sure the FAA can overlook that little technicality:D
Maybe a few fresh nuts and bolts will extend the hours on the airframe…
T.5 XS422
Anglo-American T.5 XS422 is looking pretty good so far..
Yes what is the reason why the Bucc is unable to fly in the UK..does it fall in the Complex catergory like the Lightning etc..or does it lack the support of the design or support manu?
Yes Damien, the Brunty Photo was taken in Sept 1999 I believe it was the last taxi run of the Vulcan sob sniff…
The new arrival looks great…
Yes indeed XX889 did clean up very nicely!! I just hope that she will keep her “pretty in desert pink” colours!!
One last picture..the other YAM Bucc..sorry about the picture quality but it was taken indoors with no flash and slow film..pre digital world photo..
Scott C,
That’s too bad regarding XX901…any idea of how the damage occured or was it just a result of being a static airframe for an extended period of time?
Newark Bucc.
Brunty Bucc.
YAM Bucc
Here are a few pictures of my favourite preserved Buccs..and I think they stand a chance of a long life if kept under cover..
At work of course it’s 4:45pm ..almost time to go home!!
Is the another Bucc S.2B XX901 at the Yorkshire Air Museum just a static display or could she be ground run or even taxied?
She appears to be well looked after all..and mostly kept indoors does her lot’s of good!!
