One of the volunteers told me that they will be able to run the Varsity being it is a piston powered aircraft. Any truth to that rumour?

    Viscount Inquiry

A little off topic but does anyone know of any Viscounts stored/preserved in UK museums that are currently indoors?

I know of at least one in Canada..at Western Canada Aviation Museum, Winnipeg

    Viscount

    Sounds great James.

It appears that this Viscount was one of the last flyers..flying as late as 1996.. that’s 39 years of service…

Is the Swift owned by the museum or is it on loan?

    Swift?

I didn’t see the Supermarine Swift on those lists. That’s too bad.

I believe the Beverley Nose does still exist at Newark but it pretty rough inside. I had a chance to see inside it a few years ago before they put in the fence and it is missing many instruments!

Is the APU on the Vulcan located in the tail?

I would like to see the Swift for sure going in..but how about including their Bucc. it is a bit of a rare one being a S.1

It’s a shame that WR963 Shackleton AEW2 at Coventry Airport could not be displayed on the same site as the Museum or next to it..

It would allow others then a chance to see this airframe?

Have they finished the repaint of the Vulcan..the forward repaint was looking very good on my last visit. Jan 2002.

I really like the museum..it is very easy to photograph their collection but a bigger hangar would be great for some of the rarer airframes,,
