Ah… thanks for that Ken. I’m always getting mixed up with Military types so sorry for any confusion.
Great shot of the mustang taking off! Are you using canon gear?
Just been onto http://lowfly.net/ – is that your website? It’s absolutely superb! Theres so much useful information on there and not just pics. Instantly added to favourites!
Cheers,

Wow – some excellent panning shots! What shutter speed were you using? Even with IS, I get blurry shots at anything slower than 1/50.
Some great shots there Dean! I was there on Saturday too. It’s a shame it started raining a bit during the F15/ P51 display but those thunderbirds were awesome! – and so are your shots of them.
Any one know what happened to the B-52?
Looking forward to seeing some more and I’ll be uploading mine soon…
yeah I guess it’s not ideal. Certainly wouldn’t encourage anything thats risky, but you went over there and got some super shots!
This is what I was trying to ask DamionB. He’s got shots which are taken from the northern side. It’s a great place to go as the suns behind you and theres not many people about, but I’ve never tried it.
I took a shot of these guys at Duxford’s May Airshow earlier this year.
By the looks of they’re official, but not sure about the guy bottom left corner.
nice one mate! well deserved!
5 year old Canon 10D, 100-400L ISM and no tripod. EOS1d Mk3 should arrive in the next week or so.
For every reasonable one, there are at least 10 crap ones.
The new 1d mk3? Blimey, I’d have to take out a loan to afford that one. 😀 Thats the camera all sports/action photographers would die for.
Good luck with the jump between the 10D to the 1D. A friend of mine had a 1Ds but didn’t like it, so swapped for a 5D.
Fingers crossed the 40D should be coming out soon.
Nice pics BTW.
My comments not sensible?
You should be able to take criticism as well as praise when posting work on the net. Any comments you don’t like should just go over the top of your head. Don’t get me wrong, that shot of the Turkish machine is super!
Also love the angle on your 2nd thunderbird shot. 😎
Don’t take any comments to heart and please keep your RIAT arrivals shots coming…
Rob, you can’t sharpen an image just to make it look in focus. That looks awful.
Most of Albert’s shots are slightly soft so I’d say shutter speed is the problem. I normally use 1/800 for fast jets.
not sure about the colours, but I’d fully recommend a sensor clean 😉
that last one is a cracker! You don’t normally get the sun on your side at DUX.
oh… a prime 300mm 2.8 – nice one! The quality is just superb!
some nice shots there. What camera / lens set up were you using?
