RE: Kyoto Accord. Who has sign

pollution needs addressing on a globbal scale and the kyoto system made planiting trees attractive. it also meant the changes to factories, etc could be brought in gradually.

unfortunetly it all went itts up.

what really anoys me is that there are still significant numbers of americans who don’t belive in gloabl warming 😀 😀 😀 (i don’t know weather to alugh or cry)

    RE: Euro nations

    1) im in favour

    2) the differentials we see in the uk between regions are jsut what we’ll get i the euro zone

    3) the ECB is unelected but so is the bank of england. both are chosen by our mysterious and dark goverment

my worries are that our economies are radically diffrent, for example exchage rate so convergin NOW would cause problems.

on the whole european issue as much as i like my european neighbours they seam corupt and dishonest in finacal dealings. the whole euro system props up inefficent farmers and that has to be ended in some form or antoher (see todays news). once we have a democartically acountable EU and commison i’ll be more happy.

in the long run i like the idea

RE: Lets blame 11/9 for everyt

the thing with jo moore was that she is right. the gov bankrupted (or did they }>) railtrack soon after, and dumped laods of bad things o the puiblic soon after. if you were a government offical you too would do that. anyone who has watched the west wing will know that they put stories they want no one to know about in the news on fridays – this is just the same.

    RE: Article on plane spotting

even when they pursue it lawfully

where is arthur when you need him (talks with the belorus police, the ifiltration of a ukrainian su-24 base, etc , etc)

Some men bring their children along to spot planes. Some have tried, with little success, to bring their wives or girlfriends. Most spotters are men.

Many spotters are involved in technical careers such as computers or engineering. They appreciate the patterns, numbers and precision required in aviation.”

now that is sterotypical and patronizing

RE: Who are the real rogues??????

Ok they are obviously not iran, iraq, north korea, etc

but they have some big problem wiht internatioanl law. they put sanctions on other nations for not signing some treaties but also themselves fail to sign them. these souble standards and hypocracy cuase this rection tha sauron, PII, and others can’t understand.

Free trade – the USa loves free trade but what about steel, can you expalin it ???

International Criminal Court – ok i see yoour objection but the rest of the world ahs no problem. no one has been brought up on the types of charges the us has been afraid of since the whole war crimes ystem was set up. on the same line its ok for the us gov to abduct anyone from anywhere in the world and take them to trial in the states – so why can’t everyone else do this ?

Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty – was this not the cause of the presler amendment on pakistan back in 1990 odd.

Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty – why not, evryone else is signing it. you know your bombs work, you don’t need to design new ones so what the problem. omnce youve built the neutron bomb, 50 megaton bomb, and everything ….

Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty – is the basis of detent and all subsequent arms treaties. the NMD won’t stop rouge states attacking america and north korea’s missiles will at best/worse }> hit alaska / pearl harbour which the system won’t stop.

BUT at the end of the day our our best allies, although you (america) lot are nieve in your outlook to diplomacy. then again i think that not all of you are bad. i have great hopes for the kind of people like McCain and Colin Powell

    RE: UN financing

Un funding is not based on size beacuse the most populus nations can’t afford it.

for example chad has 8 million odd people while NZ has 4 million. can chad afford to pay twice that of new zealand.

this kind of thing is taught in economics and you learn to recognise that this system is not popular as the people who pay more than before in the end rebbel/ don’t pay and the rich people who can afford to pay love it as they pay less.

therefore that is why the system used is used. the rich can afford to pay but there is a limit (25%) as one country can’t be expected to pay the lot. the poor countriies are of course happy. the US of course get to hold tremendous power over the UN due to its ability to deny funding.
