Is that the laser weapon system 747?
I don’t know if its still so Andrew but when I used to work with the An124 there was a large crew rest area/kitchen on the upper deck aft that had this huge wooden “kitchen” table along with several “pine” chairs. The table was screwed to the floor! a wonderful aircraft.
It seems funny no longer seeing that name at the airports nowadays. It really makes you wonder how many more famous names still have to go.
Well I’m proud of Airbus Industrie and its achievements and the crucial part that the UK aerospace industry, along with those of the other member countries, plays within it and if that makes me pathetic then I think that I can live with that.
You’re both getting closer but it’s not Polish or Russian, and yes it did fly in the prototype stage. Clue, it was jet powered!
No and yes in that order.
Nope!……..Sorry mate its not an Asian or Oriental design.
Andrew I have had many given to me over my aviation career span by people in the industry, and a small number I have bought. I have two friends who buy, sell and trade them for a living, and I do a lot of the latter through them nowadays. Without those guys I wouldnt be able to obtain them.
Sorry, but My Travel gets the vote! Dire design. I like Mongus response though!
Thanks Kabir, its made by Fokkers own supplier so I guess it falls into the “what might have been” category.
Well here’s the evidence in model form anyway.
frankvw-spooky this but last week saw a 747 at MHZ exactly matching your description operating a USAF charter. I am sure that it had an N regn: but as I was driving at the time for my work I could not stop to investigate further. I have friends who log such things in the MHZ area, so maybe something will turn up. If it does I’ll get back on it. I agree though it loked exactly like the old LH scheme minus the titles and logo. I could not see any titles on the aircraft itself.
Sorry I don’t have the Regns: but does anyone have any idea who the all white Airbuses belong to at CBG at the mom?
JAL B767?
Many thanks guys, All info greatly appreciated. What you’ve said would make sense ref the F28 in Africa.
