I.M.H.O. it’s their first line of defence, until they have been “Worked on” and finally admit their offence.I do think however, they should lose their pensions if and when found guilty, as many are far better well heeled than you and I will ever be.

I can’t disagree with any of that.
Mistake:- An error or fault resulting from defective judgment, deficient knowledge, or carelessness.
I guess that sums it up.
Indeed it does. And we’re expected to go to a polling station, to elect wastes of fur like him, and others of his ilk. If it wasn’t for real, it’d be laughable. But it is, and I don’t think many are laughing:mad:
The US may indeed still be a superpower, but one I think, that it is in a slow, gradual decline in that respect. Being in debt to the tune of trillions of dollars, will inevitably have an effect on the US being able to hang on to that status, as time marches on. Economics is key in these matters, and economic power is shifting east.
Personally, my blood runs cold at the thought of a Romney victory. A neo con president let loose with both houses being under Republican control, coupled with a huge military machine, would IMO, be a very worrying scenario indeed, or at least it should be.
Better the devil you know etc. Personally, I don’t rate Obama all that much, but he would still be infinitely preferable to that other guy.

Looks good in that light, as you say. There are some quite interesting ATC towers about. There are also some eyesores, like the current tower at LHR. One of the more unusual, and IMO likeable ones, is the tower at Finland’s Helsinki Vantaa airport. I guess it’s very much of a case of the beauty being in the eyes of the beholder in topics like this.
Some nice shots. I especially like the Jordanian. I can’t believe that Kuwait is still using the A300-600, on what I thought was a ‘prestige’ route. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a great Airbus fan, and it’s good to see one still in frontline service. What is the story behind Iberia using a 340-600 into LHR?
Why is it, that these so called ‘honourable members’ always seem to refer to their transgressions, as ‘mistakes’?

Damn recession!;)
I’m wondering if it’s one of the Specsavers Aviations 2 B350s you are seeing/hearing. An friend of mine who is still in the corporate handling business, tells me that the company operates its own personnel shuttle services, linking East Midlands, Birmingham, Bournemouth, and the Channel Islands, as well as ad hoc charters to numerous destinations. They have also recently acquired a 737. Maybe another member has some ideas.
Thanks very much for that info.
I’ll accept to a point that these aircraft are built to withstand operating in some punishing environments but the physical laws of flying still apply.
With apologies to those of you who love all things formerly Soviet, seeing videos like this is exactly why I will never set foot on an aircraft (Western or otherwise) operated on the Russian register.
21 flights on Soviet built airliners, 4 of which were in North Korea, and I’m still here. Those airliners hold no fear for me.
We had all this statistical guff thrown at us, when all the stops were pulled out, to convince us what a great idea privatising the rail network would be. Just look what an unqualified success that has been, with its falling fares, vastly improved quality of service etc etc. Then there are the substantial government subsidies further draining the public purse, necessary just to keep the whole ediface from crumbling. Privatise the roads? yeah, go for it, why have just one subsidised transport network, when you can have two;)

I pray for the same also. If he doesn’t, I dread to think what the consequences will be.
I have flown a couple of times on An24s, and the take off and climb rate on them, is ‘sleepy’ at best. Imagine one with a full load of pax and baggage, as was the Balkan one I flew on. Brilliant video, Antonovs can take it…no sweat;)
