Hi!
The 737 MAX looks like a great jet, although orders are being stolen by the neo from Airbus. Is there any airlines, ie Alaska, Ryanair, NAS, AAL, that would be good candidates? I would like to see this plane flying high with many global airlines, as I’m sure we all are!

Greetings, and welcome to the forum. I think that there are interesting times ahead for both the major manufacturers of airliners in this category.
Much obliged Keith.
I really like that Arik livery, it seems to look good on any of their types, especially their CRJ 900s.
Having viewed one of there old ships I now see your point of view.
You can if you look into the tail section, start to see the S in out line
painted over.Think maybe that’s just me this time though:).Thank’s anyway
for pointing that out..JB
No worries. There was a Spanish airline at one time called TAE, which also operated a Caravelle leased from Sterling. Back in the early 70s, Sterling operated a subsidiary known as Sterling Fillipinas, their spelling not mine. The livery was virtually unaltered from the parent co, except for an ‘F’ on the fin iso the letter ‘S’, modified titles of course.
Some nice shots Keith. Where does Small Planet fly charters to?
That is indeed a shame. Only flown with them once, but it was a nicer experience than Ryanair. Always sad to any airline go, and you have to feel for the staff, especially with the economy like it is:(
Looks like that Air UK is one one of the ‘side stands’ at STN. They usually only parked there at the weekends, when Air UK used to operate only the morning STN-AMS-STN flight on the Saturday, and the late afternoon STN-AMS-STN flight on a Sunday. Weekends, especially Saturdays, were the favourite days for local circuit and approach training, and also conversion training flts on the 360 for the guys that were flying the 330s at the time. If we were not on shift, or just finishing one, we could often ‘ride shotgun’ on the circuits jobs…great fun. Happy days.:) Eventually, the 330s and 360s were replaced with F27s, although the 360s would put in an appearance on some flts. We even had a Peters Aviation Heron stand in for a 330 on the AMS flight once!
Great pics. Love that Emirates.
Some very nice shots there. Was it Myrtle Ave you were based that day? Courtesy of my youngest brother, I had my first visit there for around 20 years. Like me, my brother loves planes, and he sprays the real things for a living, but he was ‘gobsmacked’ seeing the first A380 of the day filling the sky over the Myrtle roof tops. Luckily it was one of those sunny and fairly mild March days, and he made stay all day……a real hardship:):)
Uzzy. Thanks for doing that. It’s great to see them. I guess it could be that I remember my days with Air Ecosse using rose coloured specs, but it was my first aviation job, and it was a lotta fun. G-DASI went on to become part of the Air UK fleet? Would you have any objection to me downloading them to my PC?
Very nice! I think that the 777-300 is one of the nicest looking wide bodies around. It’s fast becoming a favourite of mine, and I’m a die hard Airbus fan:) It seems that any livery looks good on it, especially Egyptair!……..but that Bangladesh looks cool to.
I thought that I could see that the Caravelle pictured, had Sterling ancestry.
No hushkits, the only way that a vintage jet should be heard:):)
stangman. The last time that I implied that modern airliners were designed by computers, I was almost hung drawn and quartered by another member on here, for implying same, once bitten, twice shy;)
Some good shots there. Is that TNT 146 chartered to take the most unruly fans back home? Wooden pallets to sit on and cold tea to drink;)
