That ‘Gulf’ is gorgeous. Some nice images Keith.
Some very nice images. That ‘Gulf’ is a beauty.
Good to hear that there were no fatalities.
As ever Maikel, some brilliant images, especially the Finnair retro jet. More any time please.:)
I was only expressing surprise that with such a long delay to the project that the most of the training and preparation hadn’t already been done.
That’ll teach you;)
Very nice images all round. I can’t take to that Niki livery. What is the significance of what looks like a common housefly? Nothing to do with their inflight catering, or cabin cleanliness I trust.
Very nice. A nice change to see a new livery that actually captures the essence of the country of origin. The mix of colours used in this livery, IMO, do exactly that. Kudos to the designer.
I was just thinking the same thing.
Some very nice pics. That Angolan is really eye catching. Thanks for sharing
You’ve certainly caught a real variety there. My favourite has to be that Gulfstream. Great images.
With all due, and proper respect to a fellow member It seems to me that there is a certain type of information being repeated here. IMO, it would be reasonable to ‘go to town’ with the advent of a new 380 customer taking delivery of their first machine, as indeed it would be for a Boeing, Embraer, or any other manufacturer. And I speak as a die hard Airbus fan here.
Very nice images Darryl, well done sir! I really do like that Aer Lingus retrojet.
Really?
I (along with many others) am going to be actively avoiding both of them for at least the next 10 years.
Well, I don’t understand why that should be the case. Why should either the 787 or the A350 be anymore unsafe than those types we already use? I have flown on many aircraft over the years, that many on here would brand as dangerous, unsafe, old etc, Soviet types and old propliners usually, but not always, topping their lists, and I’m still here. When you’re times up, it’s up, flying, or not flying on a 787, A350 or any other type, will make no difference.
I am, as I have always been, an unapologetic Airbus fan. However, Boeing have certainly, if belatedly, ‘pulled the bunny out of the hat’ with the delivery of the 787, and they certainly deserve the respect and admiration of all of us airliner fans for doing so. I’m not going to get involved in wether or not the 787 ushers in a new era for commercial aviation, as I think every new type of aircraft brings advancements to some degree, some types more than others as with the 787. From a purely personal standpoint, I would view the arrival of the Comet, the 747, and Concorde as true harbingers of ‘new eras’. I personally view the 787, as the pinnacle of subsonic airliner technology and design of today, but for me, it doesn’t quite qualify for the accolade of bringing in a new era. Having said that, I wish the 787 well, and I look forward to flying on one, as I do the A350.
Ouch! Reminds me of a video of a prototype DC9-50 or maybe an MD80 breaking it’s back during a heavy landing.
