I thought that the nicest tail logo I’ve seen on a BA aircraft, was the red white and blue ‘Lions Head’. A kind fellow member, advised me that the logo in question was owned by a sports organisation, so I guess it’s very unlikely it could be used by the airline indefinitely, more’s the pity.:(
A very nice set of shots indeed. Nice to see the Egyptair! Not that I’m biased in any way;)
I’m ashamed to admit that I can still remember an ad with the slogan
‘Try a little VC tenderness’ Please God, someone else will remember it too:)
Very nice Sandy. Wouldn’t look out of place on a 787 either:) Speaking of that, should be a great day for Boeing on Monday.
That BOAC. 777 is stunning and very well done. Would it benefit from the BOAC titles being above the cheatline as per the company 747? Just a thought.
Some very nice shots there. Last week, I had to cut short my holiday in Italy by six days due to very nasty illness. A certain low cost carrier who had happily taken our money for our outbound and inbound trips, was not interested in helping at all. We contacted EasyJet to try to get home, and they were fantastic. Even though there was only one seat available at a good fare, on hearing what had happened, the very helpful girl at the call centre sold us a second seat at the cheaper fare. It meant flying from Naples, which was a 2 hour train ride from our location. We were staying in a village just north of Lamezia, where the other carrier flew us to. On arrival at Naples we were given free pre boarding. This was my first flight with EasyJet, and they were fantastic. When I recover, and look for another few days away, EasyJet will be my first call. Sorry to ramble, but it was quite a traumatic trip, and I’m happy to look at EasyJet pics all day:)
I have flown Emirates a couple of times recently, once on the A380 and once on the 777-300. For comfort and quietness, the 380 wins hands down, well it did for me anyway. IMO, compared to Emirates, BA has a great deal of catching up to do, both in terms of its cabin service, and certainly in the cabin furnishings dept on some of their types. This really shouldn’t be a problem for a carrier at this level in this day and age. C’mon BA, get it together.
Some nice shots. I especially like the Gulfstream.
I guess that the number of types that would suit their criteria is not that great. I would of thought that the Brasilia would have been a good choice, and I assume that it was considered, along with the likes of the Jetstream, Dornier 224 etc. Another factor governing the type selection may have been availability. Anyhow, I hope the project is a success.
The concept looks sound. Best of luck to them.
It would be interesting to know why, but IMO the fleet breakdown speaks for itself, I assume that one of the reasons must be financial. Hopefully the news of KLMs intention to buy the A350, signals a change in KLMs fleet policy. At least here both Boeing and AI get a slice of the pie.
Air France board spurns French govenment . This is a huge blow to Airbus….
But no real surprise surely. Both AF and KLM have operated a mix of AI and Boeing machines for quite some time, with KLM in particular, giving the impression of being a little ‘luke warm’ towards AI products
Yes, always nice to see a new logo on an A380.
Very nice pics, thanks for sharing.
Really stunning images, especially those ‘sunset’ shots. Nice to see the Libyan.
