Being that the 767 is a fairly large aircraft, would I be right in assuming that ‘ground effect’ would have been of great benefit during the last few seconds of that fantastic piece of airmanship?
Definately the end of an era. Glad that the cabin crews have kept their careers.
That IL76 is certainly looks every bit a ‘cold war jet’ A great bunch of shots from those gardens! All I get over my garden is an endless stream of Ryan’s and Easys at around 5,000ft. Thanx for posting those pix guys:)
It’s nice to see the really interesting visitors you get at NWI. Please keep ’em coming:)
That Falcon is gorgeous.
I used to do load sheets and turnaround supervision for Sterling, when they used to come into STN with 727-200s, Caravelle 10Bs and for one season, DC8-63. Their crews were absolute gentlemen, in sharp contrast to many British crews that I dealt with.
This could be a risky strategy for both sides. Always sad when a dispute reaches a state like this. The losers as ever, are the poor suckers that buy the tickets to use the airline. Nothing like taking a good chunk out of the hand that feeds you.:(
Very nice shots. The lethargic rate of climb on those Antonov twin props is legendary. I flew on a North Korean one on a domestic flight back in the mid 80s. I also only had half a seat belt! As has been said, it is a shame that this kind of variety is disappearing from UK skies.
Some very nice images there. I think that the Aer Lingus livery is beginning to look a little bid tired now.
Nice pics Keith, especially the last one, real ‘calendar’ material:)
Very nice images indeed, especially the Thai retro and the Somon Air.
Welcome to the forum. That is a stunning 727! I’ve only flown from SEN once, back in the mid 70s on a Carvair. Looking forward to some more pics from SEN.
Any pic collection featuring a Gulfstream gets my vote:)
Nice ones Darren. First time I’ve ever seen a Moroccan ‘Gulf’
Great images. Especially the A330.
