Very nice pics. Thanx for sharing.
That Gulfstream is a stunner:)
Very nice shots. Were some of those Cranfield and Cambridge? The coastal venue looks very pretty.
Great end with the 2 TU154’S makes me depressed seeing all that western junk dominating Russian sky now also.
They have some stunning liveries over there.. Air Volga woah!
My thoughts exactly. But a smashing set of pics civil spotter
‘TD looks like an ex BUA machine. I flew JER-LGW on an Intra Viscount.
Very nice pics. IMO, the Il18 was always a ‘looker’:)
Very nice shots. Love any 777-300.
Oops, that has put me in my place. So the fact that the Il-18 appears larger is purely an optical illusion, never trust the MkI eyeball for accuracy.:)
Sorry Mike, that really wasn’t my intention. I did not know these figures until you had piqued my curiosity on this. It may be that the Il18 looks larger to the eye, because its a slimmer design than the others, just a theory;)
Sad news. GA always struck me as a very fair man. His shoes will be hard to fill in the role of Moderator. I’m sure the system will ensure a suitable replacement is selected.

I’m sure that I saw their DC10 at LHR, in the then new livery. That would have to have been prior to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, on the 24.Dec.1979. I think that brought an end to Ariana operations in general. I seem to remember that their main operation used to be via LGW. There was in fact, a tragic accident involving one of their 727-100s there on 5th.Jan.1969
Great shots. I’m biased, and I don’t care. The Il62 looks good in any livery, yes, even Tarom:D
Balkan inflight service at it’s best! When I was working their STN flights, they always offered the traffic officer and the ramp guys a coffee each, or the famous ‘orange’. I loved that orange juice, but even nicer was the thick apple drink. In fact, it was more like a light puree. I got hooked on it, and in exchange for an English newspaper, I would be given my own carton. These days, the company that made it, probably makes 7Up! Ah well, that’s progress ……isn’t it?
Always considered the TU-134 to be a “sexy” looking sleek airliner… have to find the picture now.
I’ll go along with that (especially in Interflug colours). The rate of climb with them, even heavily loaded, was amazing, a real ‘pushed into the seat back’ ride on take off!
Very nice pics. I often see the Tahiti Nui ‘trailing’ over my house.
