And there it is…
I posted this just before you but then noticed the user had removed the video, which was unbelievable to watch . So I deleted the thread, still the picture speaks for itself!
I reckon he’s gonna sell to as many newspapers/news channels as he can….
Good on him :diablo:.
I don’t think he got permission fotr a fly-by and certainly not that low to the deck!
And he was doing 322 mph (apparently!)
THATS LOW!!!
H
He must of got permission, I’m sure this high up the ranks Captain didn’t just get take off clearance from the tower and then without asking them do a full circle and do a low pass by the runway….
This is the real world, not Flight Simulator :diablo:.
And…..
I’m almost certain that the rear fuse airbrakes are not supposed to be deployed until on the ground???
It’s quite a common thing actually :), seen it many a time myself on most if not all 146/RJ approaches.
It’s an odd story this one and feel as if something is missing. Firstly I think it’s very unfair to sack the man for doing something so memorable for this delivery flight and at no point do I think he would put himself, anyone else or the aircraft itself into danger.
The reason I fear something is missing is because if the Chairman was onboard I don’t think he would of just done it without asking first, if he was so high up in the company and as the article puts it very “chummy” with the airline execs which presumably includes the Chairman you would of thought.
Then again if he asked the Chairman that’s not the same as asking the correct people like FAA or the Hong Kong equivilent, it’s a very sad situation someone with such experiance and who is an ambassador for his profession is made to leave it in such cirumstances.
Hopefully he get’s his job back or finds employment with another airline.
Nice selection Lance, didn’t think TOM were planning on keeping those 762’s much longer?
Is BYAB the only one they still have flying? anyone know when they plan to retire it/them?
Ouch that does look like a hard landing, I guess that incident made up for the bad weather ;).
Great selection Mark, I do quite like that spot now :D.
Charter heaven!! nice selection :).
Another fantastic thread, that last PIA shot is just stunning .
Wow , astounding selection of shots there :D.
Thanks for the comments guys :D.

Oh yeh just one more to show off my new motor ;), if you happen to see me parked up at Heathrow or anywhere come over and say hey :D.

Me and Ben (Airline owner) flew on her last year to LHR from NYC :D, amazing shots .
Ahhh memories, was in that same terminal back in summer 2005. Although the glass had a strong green tint to it which made photo editing slightly irratating but I still took shots…
Still a fantastic terminal for spotting although I did wonder how security would view it, luckyily there wasn’t a problem. Interesting selection though .
