Sunday 5 July
John Beattie flew the Seafire back from Old Warden. We were clearing up after a drag racing event, so there was a displaced threshold on Runway 20.


The Hangar 11 Spitfire PRXI returned shortly afterwards and used the grass runway.




Then Chris Götke took the Seafire up for a short local flight and some circuits.




Saturday 4 July
The Singapore Strikemaster was out on a local flight, returning for some circuits.




Tuesday 30 June Kennet Aviation Seafire XVII air tests
Kennet’s Seafire XVII also went out on three air tests, flown by John Beattie.











Tuesday 30 June
Kennet Aviation’s T6 Texan was flown in from Yeovilton by John Beattie.



This was followed shortly afterwards by another classic American World War 2 trainer – the Boeing Stearman. N63590 flew in from Napps Field.



Apache Army Air 319, ZJ194, also came in for a circuit detail.



Sunday 21 June
The Hunter also went out to display at Weston-super-Mare, landing away at St Athan


The Hangar 11 Spitfire PRXI also returned after displaying at Redhill on Saturday.


Sunday 21 June – Air Britain Fly-in
The Sunday was much better and we had many visitors in, including a lovely Beech 18, a Morane Saulnier Alcyon and a Percival Vega Gull.













Saturday 20 June – Air Britain Fly-in
The 2015 Air Britain Fly-in featured Austers and Aeroncas, Beagle and Beech aircraft and Cessna 120/140s. The weather forecast for Saturday was not particularly good but we had representative types including an Auster, which was a D-Day veteran. The winner of the AJ Jackson Trophy – Concours d’Elegance – was an immaculate, polished metal Cessna 140, NC1872V, from Hanover in Germany, which departed early on Sunday morning





Tuesday 16 June
Our Hunter T7, Fox 1, was out on local flights.










Wednesday 10 June
The Biggin Hill Dragonfly came in as part of a fly-in by the Honourable Company of Air Pilots.



The Booker Yak 11 came in for some fuel.

Hangar 11 were having a reshuffle, so the Spitfire and Mustang were out in the sun.

Lulu Belle also did a couple of air tests after having a new engine fitted. Nice to see it back in the air again.





Saturday 6 June and Sunday 7 June
The former Kennet Aviation Wasp G-KAXT went back to its base at Middle Wallop



On Sunday we had four Cubs visit on their way to Stow Maries.





Wednesday 27 May
A Lynx helicopter, call sign Skua 365 / ZX725, dropped in for fuel as part of a navigation exercise from Yeovilton. It gave us some low passes on departure.









Sunday 24 May – Delfin
A L29 Delfin, G-BYCT, had been with us for a few days and returned to Duxford, the first attempt being aborted because of the rain.







Later, the weather cleared up and it departed successfully.



Sunday 24 May
A Gazelle, G-CBSI / XZ934, in 32 Squadron colours visited in the morning. It was previously in a red colour scheme.



The Hangar 11 Hurricane went off to display at Dover. It then landed at Headcorn to refuel before continuing on to Holland.




Three of the Aerostars returned from France, with one continuing back to its base at High Cross.




Saturday 23 May
The Huey also went off to a private event near Rougham.


The Kennet T6 Texan had gone there too and returned later.



The BBMF Spitfire and Hurricane also gave us a fly-by on their way to and from a display at Old Warden.





Saturday 23 May – Hangar 11 Collection
On Saturday the Spitfire PRXI displayed at Dover.




Later in the day the Mustang departed for a display at LLandudno. After refuelling at Halfpenny Green it returned to North Weald.
