Wednesday 13 May and Friday 15 May
On Wednesday the Meeson de Havilland Dragon Rapide came in from Old Warden for some touch and goes.



On Friday, the red and white Gnat, G-RORI, was out on a local sortie.


Sunday 10 May
On Sunday, the Shipping & Airlines Historic Aircraft Collection flew in their Civilian Coupé, de Havilland Hornet Moth and Rearwin Sporster – three classic aircraft, the Coupé being the only one left of its type.











Saturday 9 May
The yellow Gnat, G-MOUR, was out on a local sortie on Saturday, doing some missed approaches on return.






The Great Oakley Piper Cub came in for a visit.


The Hangar 11 Spitfire did the Monday display at the Gunpowder Mills.






One of the Hangar 4A Cassutt Racer projects – G-BOMB – was out on a couple of air tests too.



Monday 4 May
FireFox departed for HUmberside on the first stage of its flight to Sweden.




There were two Gnat singleton sorties as well for display practices at Duxford.




The Hangar 11 Collection Mustang also displayed at the Waltham Abbey Gunpowder Mills.


The Biggin Hill de Havilland Dragonfly paid us another visit, accompanied by the Miles Messenger – two lovely classic aircraft!




Sunday 3 May
The building on the Hangar 6 Apron is a demonstrator for a smoke removal system developed by a local company called Ash Fire Management. Smoke detectors trigger an alarm. start an extractor fan which ducts smoke out through a hatch in the roof and calls the fire brigade. They have been having problems making the interior air tight, as the bad weather keeps blowing off the cladding.
The display season started on Sunday. The Kennet T6 departed to Abingdon after a touch and go.




A Gnat two-ship also departed for Abingdon after a weather delay.






Friday 1 May
The Spitfire PRXI had a short air test before departing for White Waltham








The Mustang also did a short local flight later in the afternoon


Thursday 30 April
FireFox, the Hunter T7 in 111 Squadron colours, arrived from St Athan. It is departing for Sweden on Monday





Sunday 26 April
A second three ship Gnat sortie departed to Duxford for a second display practice







Saturday 25 April
The second Gnat sortie was a three ship which went off to perform a practice display at Duxford











Saturday 25 April
The Gnat Display Team were working up for the season. First sortie on Saturday was a two ship




On return they did some missed approaches before landing



Tuesday 21 April
An Apache dropped in from Wattisham for a couple of circuits.







16 April
During the afternoon, Kennet’s T6 Texan returned from Yeovilton in formation with John Beattie’s Chipmunk, G-BARS. Giving us a run and break before landing…







15-16 April
On Wednesday we had a transit from one of the Wattisham Sea Kings. They are standing down in July, so not many more opportunities to see them

On Thursday, the Hangar 11 Hurribomber did a test circuit before departing to Old Warden…
