thank you thank you thank you for getting it right! I’ve spent all bloody evening searching through every darn airport in the country trying to find any building that looked even remotely similar. :p 😮
I’ll get me coat….
Taxi for Dowley 🙂
Has to be Londonderry – LDY.
Bang on mate, Londonderry Airport in Northern Ireland. Ryanair and Loganair operate to the airport and the scenery on the approach is spectacular!

If its one of those two, I would say Southampton, because the building has that white exterior cladding that is common at BAA airports…
Sorry Adam, it’s neither Southampton nor Humberside.
Somewhere in Germany. That narrows it down lol
Sorry not Germany…
Southampton or Humberside.
Getting warmer!
PC world?
Serious, maybe exeter? belfast?
like your sense of humour Josh..sorry not Exeter or Belfast.
Hello Si,
An excellent set of images you have posted here – I am really impressed with the GirJet B757.
Do you happen to have any idea as to which flight it was operating?
Cheers,
Peter
Peter,
Both Adam and I pondered this…..we had no idea why it was operating to BRS, however I have heard since that it has operated a few times over the past few weeks…still don’t know who for!

Beauties Tony.

Great shot Ian; for the the BA T7 with the birds in the foreground is my favourite.

Some beauties Adam, the CPA 744 shots really show the size and power of the Jumbo.
Well done
Si
Great catching up this morning Adam, as usual your shots are superb…..the COA and GIR are particularly sharp and tight, must be the lens you were using!
All the best

Phil,
Great shots; that is the first image I have seen of a BMED in BMI livery since the take over, great catch. Where is the field?

Depends On how you want the shot really I think its a great shot with the plane in the middle and the Runway in the centre , Runway lights in the foreground and some House and Industry estate in the background. Do they have problems with the Pylons at all?
Great shots there aswel Like the KLM F70 and G-THOO 😎

As I said in my post “Adam, some people may disagree with my thoughts, it depends on what you think constitues a good photograph.”
Si
Adam,
I am by no means an expert and peolpe will have different ideas on what makes a good shot but heres my humble opinion based on my own preferences.
1st shot…I love, the light shows the detail on the aircraft well and it is a slightly unusual angle.
2nd..Again, I love this shot, with the crisp detail of the jet and angle although it is a little blue, this could be altered by decreasing the blue hue.
3…Great angle showing the size of the jet but a little dark.
4…Not enough of the jet in the shot.
5…Could do with being a little sharper.
6…Great shot, if you had a little lower shutter speed you could have defined the N1 blades in the engines.
7…As 6.
8…I think this shot is lost as even though the jet has just touched the runway creating tyre smoke it is a little far away. Personally I think if the aircraft was just over the threshold of the runway it may have been better, again prefrences.
Adam, some people may disagree with my thoughts, it depends on what you think constitues a good photograph. Hope I have helped in some way. By the way I am up in Newcastle for the day in early November, I will PM you and maybe if you are free we can meet up and you can show me the sopts to go to.

Nice shots, that 727 scheme really makes it look like a 70’s jet!
