I highly recommend getting an Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship, and with FlyBe proactive expansion there should be opportunities to rise in the ranks if you are any good 🙂

Have to agree with 3dm, the Flybe apprenticeship scheme is pretty good. My daughter did some weekend work for them at Exeter in her spare time to build her experience whilst she completed here apprenticeship with SERCO on Jetstream T3s. They were extrememly professional, proactive etc. Lou (my Daughter) managed to get hours on DH8Ds, ATP and RJs carrying out sheet metal work, which has helped her no end now she is working for SR Technic.

    Great mixture!

The KLM/DLH shot & the Red Arrows shot are the pick of the bunch for me.

Cool shots, you moving over(or is it back?) to Ni?

    David,
I work at St Mawgan (Newquay Airport) in Cornwall however my house is in Lisburn. Hopefully some day I will get a job in NI (hopefully with Easyjet or Aer Fungus! I have a mate who flies for Jet2 out of BFS who is about to look for other employment due to the airline cutting crews at BFS.

It was a at Manchester last week doing a TCX as well. You got to luv the TriStar, a truely unmistakeable aircraft. I can remember when Air Canada and British Airtours amongst a few operated them into Manchester many moons ago.

Old Git…sorry JetSet, your showing your age, next you’ll be talking about Tridents, BAC1-11’s, VC10s and Laker DC-10s. 😉

Nice to see the Navy Jetstream T3 (my occasional taxi)…useless piece of trivia for you; the weather radome underneath the fuselage is empty as the weather radar which was installed had a major flaw….it couldn’t see through cloud formations and couldn’t read cloud densities.

Look at the width of that runway – Must be just like Filton Si 😉
    Good pictures as per usual.
    Adam

Just like Filton but without the 747s……St Mawgan is supposed to be the widest runway in the UK, however Newquay Airport operators intend to narrow it by installing new runway lights in from the current runway edges.

I love the landing Ryanair, it really looks like its moving. Youve captured the speed of the thing perfectly. It just goes to show that a great picture isnt just about being in focus or straight or cropped. Well done.

AGREEEEEED. Through making what you thought was a mistake, you captured something special and something it may well take a pro a few goes to get right.

    Well done fella 😉

Guys, Thanks a lot, your comments are very much appreciated.
