Just found this…….
Fifteen flights have been affected after the budget airline raised concerns about skidding when landing in wet weather.
Other flights are unaffected and neither BA nor Ryanair has cancelled any departures.
The airport has refused to confirm the reason for the Easyjet cancellations, but otherwise declined to comment.
However, a passenger reported a pilot announced to the cabin that they could not take off because the runway was unsafe and too slippery.
An Easyjet spokesman said: “Bristol airport has been laying a new runway and what they have not had a chance to do is cut grooves into the surface.
“We have found that this is having an effect on braking distances on the runway in wet weather.
“The safety of its passengers, crew and aircraft is Easyjet’s first priority and this decision has been taken following extensive discussions with Bristol International Airport and the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
The runway conditions are slick at present and we are not confident we can land our aircraft in wet weather without skidding
Easyjet spokesman
“Customers are entitled to a refund of the fare paid or a free transfer on to another Easyjet flight within the next month.”
The airline is currently discussing what action to take over the weekend.
Rayanir told the BBC it had experienced no problems at the airport and was unaware of any concerns. BA refused to comment further.
In December, a plane operated by Guernsey airline Aurigny, with 52 passengers on board, ended up on the safety zone at the end of the runway after landing at Bristol.
And an Easyjet flight from Malaga has also recently strayed on to the safety area at Bristol while taxiing.
The Easyjet spokesman added: “The runway conditions are slick at present and we are not confident we can land our aircraft in wet weather without skidding.
“We are looking at the option of diverting some of our flights to Cardiff or Birmingham airports.”
Paul has got it spot on, it is an Emerald 748 in Lynx colours.

Luke,
If you get a chance go to the PPRUNE website, there is a cabin crew forum which has some good hints and tips; my wife recently went to the Easyjet interview. Really think about your introduction…it is their first impression and usually the lasting impression of you.
Good luck

Great shots mate, liking the BA shot.

Thanks for the comments guys, having done a bit of digging, I believe the unidentified 340-600 is for Emirates. As I said in another string, Toulouse is well worth a visit, even if the factory jets are not testing. Flight cost £34.00 from BRS, hotel was 80 Euros and Hire car for 2 days was 90 Euros. I met a guy who had flown down from Gatwick for the day so a day trip is doable (is that a word?). If you go for more than a day I would recommend the tour of the A380 facility; no cameras are allowed inside but it is still worth it to see them on the production line. I am definatley going back although my wife said she would like to accompany me the next time!!! Still there are plenty of fashion shops in and out of town to keep her amused for the day.
All the best

Stinker……….Gary you should be proud of these shots mate, the RYR and the US Airways shots are great.

Cracking shots mate, I simlpy love the F70 close up and the bird (feathered type).

Great shots Adam….It’s great when you can get to the other side of the fence! Must admit I get very frustrated at being pulled by the Airport Police, I am all for the upgraded security but and am actually willing to pay for security checks to get closer to the aircraft. We get looked at suspiciously for having a hobby, we get bigger fences put up, we get viewing areas closed and then the airport authorities have the audacity to ask plane spotters/[hotographers to report any suspicious movements around the airports….my rant over!
Great shots Pete, I think the Aer A pilot was a bit gob smacked someone was taking a photo of his little ATR….ah bless!! Luton looks like Biz jet central!

Gary,
That first shot is awesome…..well done mate!
