the odd looking yoke is from the upgraded U-2 cockpit
Thailand still in talk to purchase the Gripen.
Being lightweight and only 8212kg of thrust will reduce the Gripen ability to carry many air to ground weapons since these weapons will increase dramatically the weight to thrust ratio.
Contrarily to F-16, although intentionally to be built as a lightweight fighter to supplement the F-15, end up of being hefty bomber with 13200kg of engine thrust.
the canard is not a stealthy design at all and seem very out of place in this cg.
The world really need a lightweight fighters to replace the F-5, Mirage III and MiG-21. Today fighter not only very expensive to purchase, but also very costly to operate. I believe, the fighters like FC-1, A-50 Golden Eagle going to make a sale like a hot cake.

Royal Malaysian pictures (previous camo)
old pics, old story, the movie is “stealth”
If it is directly fire to behind of the aircraft, at one stage, the vm could reach 0 m/s, dead speed. This idea had been talk back in 80’s, when I read Bill Gunston article.
Otherwise, the new idea is that the missile will be launch conventionally as being practiced today, memorise the target, and make the U-turn.

BD-10 follows MiG-29 architecture
Flex,
Your server still down…
Last year, the Wolf Pack F-16s visited Royal Malaysian Air Force AB Kuantan and have a drilled against MiG-29N. Anybody know about the result.
What will happen to PC-7 mkII and PC-9 then? They are both still a very good basic trainer aircraft. If air force want to have advance trainer, I believe they will opt for faster craft, to ease transaction to faster fighter plane.
I don’t have the picture, but I knew there was few Tornado IDS already being painted in Royal Malaysian Air Force colour ( green camouflage) before they cancel the order and changed it to Hawk 100/200.
Any comment on this?
Imagine, how much fuel it needs to drink…
