I flew it in the right seat for about 4 months in 1974 with International Air Cargo out of Washington National. Till they went out of business. Don’t have any manual etc. I’m not sure but think only 2 were converted.
Chris
No it not. This is from the early 60’s not the time frame of the Do.X
Chris
Sorry I cropped it too much. It talks about it crashing without anyone getting hurt. Also the tips are ram jets so it’s powered and flying according to the caption.
Chris
Within the rules????
It’s flying not attached to the ground. Just because it’s not a A380.
Anyway first clue Switzerland and Canada

What happened to Dan Cooper Aircraft page 1
I have many hours on this aircraft. As far as I know the company went out of business in 1993 and the aircraft was sent to the scrap yard.

Earlier had asked question about this entry. Found in USN Aircraft book by Bowers and Swanbourough and also mention in Larkins book.
Found it was a radio drone with duplicate s/n’s. Found the info in microfilm of navy aircraft cards. Taken on strength July 15, 1941 SOS July 31, 1942 with a R-265-2 engine.
Chris
Not that exciting but I see an entry like that want to know more about it.
