Good man.
Have you design calcs to prove the propellor system and its mounts Graham?
Last thing you want is to lose a blade or the prop assembly in public.
This is my Tornado back seater one, thought it’s the later version

Very nice, thanks a lot.
Almost as busy as the flight controls one!
Out of curiosity, what does the RAOs mini backseaters weapons joy stick look like in a Tornado?
Why the handing?
SR-71?
Roger Smith
Hi Roger,
The Septics have been operating vehicles far superior to SR-71 for some considerable time now.
Recall how long it took to make the public domain and also ref the F-117.
Similarly, given the imminent retirement of Shuttle, I’d be highly surprised if they haven’t a manned means to orbit also off the public radar, that keeps a taxi available if required.
Concorde, the only museum piece that isn’t obsolete!!
What a fortuitous thread, at last the legions of disgruntled and now silenced armchair XH558 detractors, have a new cause to vent their frustrations and negativity towards.
I look forwards to it immensely.
Viv la France!!
From my youth I recall some low cliffs around the area of the approach to Lossie in front of which we found tank wheels and various ther bits of metal. I was quite clued up on british tanks at the time and we concluded (1978 ish) that they were probably Cromwell.
There was also a farmers field to the south in which just beyond the bordering hedges were remants of concrete dispersal and also lots of aviation bits and pieces. The significance of which escaped me at the time.
That’s a bit clearer now.
Note the density of the shadow cast by the its own vertical tail upon the inboard side of the starboard horisontal stabilizer. The very same density as the shadow cast on the wing and outboard stab.
All a trick of the light and not oil I would wager.
I’ve just sketched the outline of the airframe, scaled it slightly, rotated it a little bit.
The outline exactly overlays the dark areas when aligned with the known engine and wing shadows, therefore I conclude it is 100% shadow IMHO
I had a chat with Stephen just after he acquired TT & he told me he’d been after it for years as it’s a genuine DX veteran & that he’d keep it for that reason. It’d be a shame if he had sold it as that’s 1 less P-51 we have. :diablo:
Probably took the gloss of ownership off it when the original TT was formally recognised.
Spitfire Mk I’s;)
Percentage of ‘original’ material in the finished products? :diablo:
The exploded views and MTOs in the Swedish parts maunuals are also very illuminating.
