    [I]]

Belfast was attacked 4/5 th May 1941 and a German aircraft is believed to have jettisioned bombs near Malin Head and in the sea west of Malin Head.
On the other hand two Coastal Command Liberators 59 Sqn. FL989 and FL990 crashed on the same day 19 June 1944 killing all crew, one at Glengad and the other nearby at Shroove. Soooo is it possible that the bomb was the property of His Majesty? Need the experts here!
Good luck Good luck ti yis all.:D

“the very knowlegable journalist made the assumption ”

Next you’ll be accusing me of selective quotation……

Faith and bejasus sure i wouldnt say something like that, you being the fine Angerlish gentleman that you always were…..

ok time to untangle the tongue…enough of the Irish RM talk ! We really really don’t talk like that over here (unless you are from Offaly)……unless of course there is some dumb eejet around who is looking for the leprechaun’s gold at the end of the rainbow beneath the fairies grotto ….:dev2:

“along with the absence of any ticking sounds”

I know that the Germans have a reputation for quality workmanship, but to expect it to still be ticking after 70 years…..

think you left out a vital word ” presumably….” would seem to imply that the very knowlegable journalist made the assumption ???

another fine example of journalistic licence on behalf of ye sassenachs !

Farage – blames Polish immigrants for all our ills yet uses Polish aircraft to campaign.

    Moggy

Not wanting to take away from what could have been a very serious incident but you know he could claim to have made a valid point…if this Polish aircraft hadnt been brought in…..

Hopefully another family will soon have closure.

Was it usual for the German’s not to recover the remains of the pilot and remove what was left of the aircraft ?

i have a fairly ancient looking wooden sprit level that was found in the back of my dad’s van back in the early seventies, reckon it was at least ten years old back then.

When we moved here in the mid seventies the retired gent that sold the place was a former rail worker ,there were loads of old heavy wooden handled , lead headed soldering irons massive things that ended up dumped.

But then in those days thats what happened to this kind of stuff.

bit off tread but has anyone seen a series of genuine WW2 colour films (made approx 10 years ago) on Sky Military over the last few days? Can’t think of the name and the listing has gone !

some fine colour film of Spits in the Med & Lancs.even if it was only a few mins well worth a look and it wasnt this “colour by numbers” crap we have seen recently !

    L’waffe War diaries…C Bekker

and the one that IIRC started it all off……Gunners Moon by John Bushby

You guys in the mainland UK are very lucky with the number of “pre-read” shops …was in Yorkshire & London a while back and could have sent a 40ft artic back fully loaded !! not such a good selection over here apart from Belfast and even there they are closing up !

So let me get this straight…you guys built it, put all your time in free-gratis, did one hell of a good job from all reports & what i can see , it has been used as intended and has given joy to at least one of those great men who flew it…..

and now some jumped up know-it-all (but knowing nothing ) prat has decided to stop using it & SELL it ????

i can only imagine the “annoyance” 😡 this has caused you…someone at the head of that organisation needs a good kick in the ar*e !
