… can Korea secure favourable/non-restrictive terms re: development assistance and supply of parts (read: engines) from foreign partners or looking at a repeat of the radar fiasco with FA-50?

With any luck it’ll end up being everything JSF should’ve been and operated by Indonesia in numbers the RAAF could only dream of. :rolleyes:
If there are no major complications there would be no problem if the military asked for more money.
Hopefuly we accept eurojets 60% ToT EJ200 (KJ200?) deal and we continue with Elta with AESA development.
Still wondering if we can do the rest while buying F-35s with no major ToT.
I am hoping maybe Korea goes with missile bays on the wings. 2x IR Missiles in small bays on the outside. 2x Active Radar BVR in the middle and 4x BVR on the inside. Then maybe CFT/CWB with 4x BVR and a single center bay for some bombs.
And having turkey will help. Hopefully their feasibility study turns out to say join KF-X.
