As much I do not like this aircraft for political reasons (killing the European military aerospace, keeping European countries under the US influence sphere), as much I find it pretty and attractive !

I just heard on the radio that the Lybian aviation is currently attacking Tripoli.

Probably, these Mirage F-1’s were flown by pilots who did not want to bomb their fellow citizen.

    “F-5 Tiger III plus”

This is exactly what would perfecty fit the Swiss F-5 fleet !

P.S. vanhalem, do you perhaps know how much approximately the upgrade package could cost ?

How much could an upgrade for a F-5E cost pro aircraft, basically a new radar and the wiring for firing AMRAAM ?

Thanks, Phantom, I’ve also heard of an Italian company offering a F-5 upgrade.

In fact, I’m asking the question about the Swiss F-5 which would be a very good target for such upgrades.

Can perhaps a Tiger specialist make a little digest on the companies which are providing updates to the F-5 E/F ?

    Amazing.

As much I’ve no interest in replicas, as much I do like the “put back in production” system !

“His money, his planes, he can do whatever the hell he wants.”

Paul Allen has money AND he has good taste.

What is not always common on the warbirds scene.
With him, no overchroming, no “cool” markings, just the real deal as best as it is possible.
    I thank him for that.
And I do hope visiting his museum one day 🙂

In fact, I wouldn’t have posted this just a few weeks ago, but now with the J-20 being real…

Strange, when I go the pages 9 and 8 of this thread, I get this alert message :

Basically, it says that the Key forum has some malwares from the site http://www.fyjs.cn !!!!!

Is this serious or not ?

    Very sad.
Great-Britain has changed a lot the past years (1).

    (1) I recently did a short trip to London last month (my prior trip to England was twenty years ago) and I was quite shocked.

Can specialists of the I-16 confirm me that this peculiar aircraft is the most authentic preserved I-16, still with its original engine ?

    Thanks for the info, Dave.
