180 mins ETOPS means that the aircraft in questions can only fly within 180 minutes flying time of it’s nearest diversion airport when flying over water e.g the atlantic.

ETOPS,stands for extended twin operations & each type has to be certified indiviually.

So US only use ex-ATA 757’s that are ETOPS certified,do the original US 757’s all have rolls royce engines?

I’ve no idea  ,it just turned up out of the blue,or should that be gloom 😀 .I didn’t see euroatlantic’s code on the arrivals list so it was operating for someone else.

The SkyService A330 is operating the DUB-SNN-YYZ service once a week this summer but it is a Air Transat flight with TSC flight number.

Thanks for that i wasn’t aware that it was flying for TSC,altough i was wondering where there flight was last friday 😎

The SSV A330 didn’t even park on stand last friday!,leaving everyone to be bussed to the terminal, the Gulf Air was very late off stand last friday so maybe that was the reason.

The forecast for Dublin is changeable,so with a bit of luck you’ll get some dry weather.Ironically that day,as soon as i got home,it was 26 degrees & sunshine! 😡

No,the 757 brought them out to istanbul,at the end of the season review DVD,it show’s Rafa & stevie-g,coming down the stairs, with the red planet in the background. So it’s definetly a 737 just don’t know which one?

I know what you mean about the fence at the 28 end,i haven’t gone down that end since they put it up,apparently it was a mistake to put it up that high,as just after the lay-by it drops by about a foot!,if 28 is the active i go half way down the runway, about the point of rotation for most stuff.A bit of good news is that the car park behind the hill that i stand on now,is to be expanded,so now a large hill goes the FULL length of the rest of 28 from my current spot.So it’s about 1 kilometre of un-interrupted views of 28,sort of like the full length view you can get of 6R at MAN.They haven’t finished yet so i’ll keep everyone up to date when it’s finished.

Can anyone confirm whether it has left DUB yet or not?

I was going to ask the same thing
I think it came in about 10am,& enginneers sorted the problem fairly quickly,so i’d say it left a few hours later,i’d go up to check but my transport is out of action 😡
