    Good stuff! My friend just got back from a LHR to KLAX flight in their 744 (Virgin). He said it was really good and he enjoyed the entertainment, although he said takeoff was slightly wobbly!

    Is it possible to listen to the ATC? I cant remember who i did that with before, but channel 10 or 11 was the ATC and pilots etc. is that available?

    I think its a good move. What would you rather have as a passenger, some crazy hijackers taking control of the plane and no one trained in what to do or someone there who doesnt neccersarily have to act instantly but who has been trained and may have a way of notifying the ground of the situation on the aircraft without anyone knowing.

    I have to agree, people dont seem to care about visitors in England. My local airport Exeter has the worst viewing gallery possible! You can see 1/4 of the runway, this end of the runway is used very little too! LHR is bad too, something should be done there, one of the biggest airports in the world and they cant be bothered to change it from a dump into something nicer.

    Could someone tell me if you are allowed to have contact lenses or glasses for a Class A medical? I have -3.50 and -3.75, does this mean I wont pass.

    I dont think it would work. Long haul is expensive and low cost airlines wouldnt be able to handle the costs if their prices were low-cost. I doubt we will se any low-cost airlines in the near future flying long haul.

    Can I just ask, you were told you couldnt fly due to your eyesight. I thought that unless your eyesight was worse than -4.00 then it was alright! Can you tell me please because if thats not the case then I’m done for!
