But in particular, why are the takeoffs so smooth? You really dont feel as much of the power as I used to.

Thats bad. I have flown on Iberia many times and normally it has been quite thorough. Having said that, depending on the airport counts alot too, specially in spain. The spanish cant be bothered to check sometimes, again thats bad!!

Terrible. I like the white fading into blue, but the globe just ruins it. The colours on it are too bright.

There are about 8 BAE146’s here at exter. When i used to live in spain there was an aircraft right next to the runway which had been in a crash, and they left it there! looked like a DC8, its not the one the firemen use though, its a genuine accident. It must have been there a very long time though, completely rusted and a bit of a dump.

    RE: planes

Has to be the L1011 Tristar. Out of the ones still in service properly then i’d say the 757, all types.

RE: IBERIA TO JOIN THE LONG LIST OF A340-500/-600 CUSTOMERS

BOEING! BOEING! Sorry fellow Europeans, but Boeing rules! I hate joysticks, fly-by-wire and economical aircraft! Bring back the DC8’s, the 747 classicals, and of course, the 1011 tristar! It was very unproffesional of Boeing to make that statement, but as someone said, it shows the situation Boeing are in at the moment (trouble). With all the problems currently with airlines it was wrong of Boeing to say this. Some people said that poeple go prefer comfort to low prices, well, i dont think many do, if they did then why are low cost airlines doing so well?! And remember guys, its aviation, and we love it!

    RE: 717

I agree. They would be better producing a new aircraft all together. The 737 and A320 are doing well enough at the moment, they dont need another aircraft like the 717. Demand should be looked at more carfeully, and then decisions made.

    RE: Airbus Versus Boeing

As Saab said the 787 is already being drawn up. I dont think it will sell that well though, a cross between the A330 and 777 isnt needed! I think they should be more innovative and make another smallish aircraft and another aircraft that is very very efficient but in similar size to the 757. I think Airbus have it right at the moment, however, im hoping that the fly-by wire doesnt work with them and they decide to use the pilots again!!

    Loads of aircraft stuff:
    Books:
6 books designated for a specific aircraft (A300 etc)
Guide to being a commercial pilot
    Flightdeck electronics
    World Airline guide.
    DvD’s:
    Spanair MD80-A320 cockpit flights
Cougar 727 ‘Super 27’ cockpit flights
    Virgin 747 classic cockpit flights

+ i got a ‘wah wah cry baby’ guitar pedal. Its amazing!
