Since 737 has ETOPS might the smaller bus’s such as A318 A319 and A320 get ETOPS since for example the A320 can easily to Halifax to Belfast lol

Evolve Airlines, based in Siberia, have a fleet comprimising of 2x A320 and 2x Tu204s. I think that number could have expanded but the Airline CEO when over in Belfast was very happy with using Tu204s and i think moreso than the A320 which i believe was only being used because its range is long enough for a link to Heathrow? (MarkL confirm??) Looks a blend of a 757 and A321 with winglets!

If this comes true, and im with Dee747 on this one as it could be alot of hot air which people will believe after CO annoucement, i will definetly be purchasing a ticket on this flight no matter the price. Amazing chance to experience one of the worlds best airlines!

    Also:

Within Europe, Belfast International is already homing in on Germany and Italy as the next two countries to which routes will be opened up.

Now what have i been saying about what my contacts said about Germany 😉

Quote was from their Reservation phone number in UK who seems to be setup fine. I phoned twice for the two set of dates to make sure it wasnt a disgruntelled call centre person who quotes me sky high out of badness!

Thanks for saying that LBA 😀

If a flight is getting full, its very doubtful bmi would put an additional aircraft on the same route just for capacity. In fact, i’ve never known that in all my years with them. I would think its quite uncommon on a Regional route especially. It has been done out of LHR however.

When the 321s were banned from EGAC by the CAA while a MCDU problem was fixed for short runways bmi used an A320 and where demand was needed a Fokker 100 was used along side with same flight dep/arr etc.

Truth is if bmi could fit the A330 into Belfast it would be on at least the early morning flights as they red eye departing at i think 0640 is the most popular flight in Northern Ireland and thats offical!
