Be do still fly for AF mainly on BHX routes i believe and they have one or two BAe146s painted in livery too
NCRULES im talking about the Belfast Flights…..
A319 is only ever used on the around 9pm daily lgw flight from bfs
Its a pitty crjs have gone they looked well in that livery and i bet flybe livery would have looked well on them too! In the end maintinance costs were too high to keep them when they got a reduced rate on the bigger Dash 8Q400’s!
Whats with the green nose cones?
737-700 used on all European flights from Belfast. Sometimes the odd 733 temp. while a 737-700 is broken etc. All malaga flights ive seen have been 737-700NG aircraft!
I think ive been to that railway station in bottom right!!!!
Bmi are cancelling East Mids arnt they in favour of Birmingham or is that easyJet???
so you are suggesting disabled people should not fly?? Utter rubbish!
No what i meant to really get at is that the airline were quite reasonable in my opinion in asking a companion to travel with her to help her inflight if needed.
The AF person wasnt tactful, which is something definetly needed in the circumstances.
skypilot – i guess your a Dash 8 pilot then? How often do you come into Belfast City??
stop rubbing it in wannabe we all know youve been and got the girl so to speak :p
Shamrock – why would they reduce routes to help them beat delays?
This is just a phase they are going through at MAN as no doubt one of their based aircraft has a ticky engine or something like that, that keeps causing trouble and needs sorting on a regular basis therefore causing delays.
Remember for every say 4/6 routes out of one airport operatings on a 3/4 times a week service this can be run by 1 aircraft and the reason they stagger the schedule is to allow for this one aircraft to run lots of return journeys maximising its effiency as its costs to have it resting on the ground anywhere it goes.
Anyone of you still there by the 30th as would like to meet up!
If you swaped the crown and titles from second onto the first your onto a winner!
To an extent I would agree with Seahawk. FLight Attendances, say in a ditching, are to man the exits to make sure people use the slides without falling off or putting a big hole in them with their high heels. They wouldnt have time to help her get out.
Also depending on circumstances Flight Attendants might not be able to fit her safety mask for her. Some passengers might not want to help because they are ignorant dheads.
In Number 3, if she had an accident whilst by herself, say in the toilet, she would no doubt sue for the flight attendants not helping her when people who are disabled usually bite peopls heads off who offer to help saying they can do it themselves when they cant but want to try. Im not saying this is exactly what could happen and im not saying she does or doesnt like help either.
Would not agree with seahawk on the why only reporting now. The justice system, from personal experience but different issue, takes AGES no matter who or what is involved. She could have also been hospitalised after for another reason or something which disabled her to report it and go to court as soon as the return trip was over.
Please dont think i dont liked disabled people as I do and have done voluntary work in Belfast with disabled people. Im not trying to discriminate or anything by this post just giving my opinion on the original post.
Whats so big about Scotland – loadsa threads on Scottish airports :p all be it very good photos and variety in each!
