Happy Christmas and New Year Everyone!
Mountain out of mole hill springs to mind.
One stubborn group of 8 people sounds like a plane full after the media deal with it. If Monarch were so unreasonable then how come all bar 8 of the LGW passengers agreed to be bused to LGW? Im sure Monarch offered them some form of compensation otherwise the majority of passengers may have joined in?
There must be an element of mental instability there?
Also, the article mentions the AIPA members may attempt to buy enough shares to stop a full take over (they would probably need around 40% max?) but maybe they could attempt to take Qantas as a Co-Op owned by all staff as I am sure if every staff member took part they could easily afford it?
Rickt,

Last nights BD096 into Belfast City was 1hr 30min delayed and had two attempts at landing. The conditions got steadily worse after that and even at the time of higest viz the aircraft could not be seen from the main road.
Conditions are not as bad yet alot of flights cancelled – one assumes due to mainland conditions.
So why isn’t BA long haul effected and other airlines that do domestic flights?
One assumes that given Long Haul are only in once a day, assuming they got into LHR today, they will leave mid morning onwards which will not seem them return to the next day.
Short haul will be in and out several times a day. If fog is going to create a problem each time they depart/arrive this is going to massively delay schedules to the point where BA are saying its not worth them flying today due to conditions.
Long Haul stays but as they can chance getting out in fog as they will not be in and out all day, and hopefully by the time they return the fog will be gone.
Disappointed EZY chose to launch these routes from EDI no doubt.
Lets not start any airport vs other airport wars please
Looks a bit too grey to me?
Wouldn’t call it a risk at all, EDI-MAD has been crying out for a non-stop service for a while now.
How exactly does one base the “crying out” for a route?
I thought EI left one world? Their logo is stil on homepage…
Hopefully not, I thought he was incompetent and lacking in confidence, which didnt appear to improve with “experience”. Stick to Asda Leo.
I was impressed by Leos skills in the last few series as he showed a improvement in conflict resolution and general handling of situations. I am confident that this came through his experience on the front line.
