If it is BHX based we have good chance of it being unofficially based at BHD as BHX aircraft overnight most nights here and do LGW runs in addition to BHX runs!

If all they had avail was an axe to break the door, do you think airline would favour FO landing himself or a large repair bill?

If it was designed properly, access to bolts should be on flightdeck side! Also what plane carries screwdrivers in cabin?? May the First Officer took his axe to it?

Rumoured to be in SOU on 13th September for tests etc (making sure it fits) and entering service soon after on Edinburgh / Glasgow routes

One hopes making sure it would fit would be something undertaken before time of order!

From BBC report this kid was very determined to get away.

IMO he may have tried “my mum already went through” etc line as its only one i can think of that might get someone let through without tickets. Either that or he just hovered around a family hoping not to be noticed?

They said he was served snacks before take off, must not have been in the back then?

And being in Ni (if I remember correctly) then you have an even bigger problem. 🙁 Norfolkline do a nice cabin, breakfast and dinner on the Belfast-Birkenhead service, but a bit slower than flying!

Norfolkline are very good and have cinema onboard as well. Larne – Fleetwood aint bad but not as much food given but is about £100-200 cheaper.

Yep in NI but that has only hindered us with vechile insurance!

Andrew, the problem is not so much the laptop itself, its the sensitive data on them which could be “misused” – despite encripting some data, its still not 100% secure.

Andy PM me as we use technology used by Government Agencies. Not that expensive and no way in hell can be accessed without being authorised!
