    I could be considered a sort of expert on this particular company kinda!

    Gill Airways Name is owned by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (the appointed recievers). Gill Airways, when was wound up on 20th Sep, owed thousands of pounds and the recievers were unable to get enough money from selling assets to pay all companies who were owed by Gill Airways.

    The only way PriceWaterhouseCoopers are willing to sell the name Gill Airways etc was if the new owners would take over all outstanding debts of the old company.

    These were significantly reduced once assets were sold but still large enough to put investors off.

    Pity as the North East would have supported its comeback given they are very loyal for the most part. They would need to restructure as a loco carrier serving niche markets maybe reopening their successfull routes to the likes of Gotenburg etc.

    AF partnership again would have been a major coo.

    I read in the Telegraph the man got a boat to Maderia then flew to Tenerife which I am sure all cost him a packet given purchasing on day of travel.

    They also said that he will have to return to Porto Santo in the future for a Court Hearing and he will be informed of the date etc by post once the case has been investigated fully.

    I do agree that he should be liable for all costs occured by Monarch but unsure of my position on the Portugeese being reembursed

    Hopefully we might be able to make a go of it at Farnborough this year. If we sell tickets on our stand do you think they might give us a free ride Andrew? 😉

    Amazing Spot there best photos ive seen period. My Favourites have to be the Condor arriving with reserve thrusters out and all the binter pics!

    Thats good to hear. I’m reliably informed that they are a friendly airline with good service.
    Would be a shame if they went bust.

    back on topic, lets hope Cyprus Airways can pull themselve out of this mess.

    Friends travelled with them on a DUB to Paphos Charter in Summer of 2004 and both ways the aircraft was very dirty, the toilets were broken, the cabin smelt of affluence, the food was party cold (this was for a cooked dinner service), they were not given any drinks and told to pay for them (but drinks were supposedly included when purchasing meal option and they were late by 4 hours on outbound and 2 hours in return inbound. It wasnt even the same plane each way!

    Again why is there a need to advertise the current AW mag and the old edition also? I cant imagine they havent been able to because they have been off for Christmas or such as the new AW post was on the 18th so why not remove it then?

    LOL well some of us are guarding Belfast City Halls Xmas tree until 2am in a Santa Outfit…. but hey at nearly £20 an hour who is complaining?

    Anyway I didnt actually get round to asking Santa for anything so will be interesting to see the results!!

    Also I would highly recomend walking through where the BCP buses park to take you to the terminal. Try and have a look to see if you can see the aircraft there and then walk around the buses and see what happens 😀
