I totally agree DME. Why in the name of god anybody needs a meal on a flight of 2-3 hours or less is simply beyond me. If you want it then you can buy it-simple. BA must spend £5+ feeding every passenger on every sector so if they dropped that it would save £10 on a return ticket and your fare drops a good bit espeically on a route like London-MAN and other domestic flights.

Although slighlty off topic does anybody know anything more about the rumours about BA transforming LGW flights into LOCO style flights.

Airline Food would cost then £3 per meal and then another 14p for a soft drink!

mmm seems a very very strange storey and no news channels here ive seen today have picked it up. Even BBC News Website hasent picked it up and they usually are good yet a few hours late!

Strange unloading the aircraft of bags as usually they would prefer to let the dog into the hold but im guessing they were in containers so would at least need to unload the containers to let dogs in.

No mention of IRA/UDA/UVF in it and im sure if they gave coded warning would be mentioned. Very odd considering its Northern Ireland we are talking about! Ill do a bit of digging :p

The 1 issue is what would happen when you came to a runway exit.

Mount the rail into the ground like trams on roads then make sure it is always at a specific location during non-use so aircraft dont roll over it.

Should be easy to implement as they, renfrew im sure can confirm, use this at football matches (a camera on a track) to follow action. Im sure it would be a similar but smaller system?

Might not get into Newcastle? Erm what is the deal with this strike as I am a bit confused. Who is striking? Is Aviance striking or do they do in house aircraft handling?

Does anyone know if Alpha One are the “currently unnamed” UK regional commuter airline (using J32s) that Nutricius Group are selling shares in? Website here for those interested http://www.nutriciussystems.co.uk/group/index.htm

Click on the link on their page for the airline and up pops an email to “info@britainairways.com” and domain is owned by a Nick Rowley of Sherbourne. I doubt it is AlphaOne but thats alot of covering up with different names and addresses if it is…

Damien, the airline was set up so that I would ensure I had a flying job at the end of my training. There are several other airline CEO’s around the world who fly for their own airlines including Niels Sundberg, the CEO of Sun-Air in Denmark.

Also Nikki Lauda (?) from flynikki (?)
