Yep I’ve done that Michael at JER! 😀
And you downloaded the same model I have, good man 😀
Believe it or not, that is the Fifty North model. Its a good, cheap payware model, but all you get is the model and nothing more. But a quick download of 737 sounds and a 737 panel from Avsim.com and its perfect. 😀
Do Aer Lingus provide superb service though?
From what I’ve come across – no.
But when referring to a superb airline, I was hinting at Thai. 🙂
some more shots. BA 757 Heathrow – Manchester, a flight that michael (T5) suggested. great flight to try
Superb screenshots and lots of them, too! 😀
I flew Cardiff to Jersey this evening using a new aircraft to my collection – a bmibaby 737-300. Flight time was near enough 30 minutes and cruised along for a few minutes at 18,000ft.

It was a little bit windy on approach into Jersey so I took over the controls at the last minute. You’ll probably notice that I touched down about a third of the way down the already very short (5,597ft) runway at Jersey!
Excellent photos. I think for €100 return, its average value. A similar length flight with British Airways (say London to Manchester) is almost exactly the same price.
And as for PTVs on long haul flights, I don’t think they are always necessary. The flight to Hong Kong and back went much quicker with one, but my previous flights to Bangkok have mostly been in Economy and without a PTV. Fly with an airline that offers superb inflight service and you’ll not notice that you’re missing a little screen of your own.
Just a quick flight from me – Liverpool to Belfast. Here is the arrival and the aircraft parked in Belfast.
I must be bored. This was my second complete flight today.
Above runway 08R at Gatwick, arriving from Jersey.
Touchdown!
Awaiting taxi instructions whilst a 767 touches down in the background.
Parked up and ready to disembark.
Me again.
Just got a few shots of the last stages of an Air Berlin 737-800 flight from Stansted to Amsterdam. Flying time was 37 minutes.

This is the only the second time I’ve tried to fly this thing and both times, something has gone wrong and the landing gear doesn’t properly retract!

Or better still, set up some sort of inflight emergency. Aim to fly London to Palma for example (1 hour 45 minutes at most) and set one of your engines to fail within, say 30 minutes, and then divert to a suitable airport.
Here’s the proof that I can do it now. Thanks to the guys who gave the brilliant advice for landing the 747-400. Obviously the problem with mine when landing was that it was overweight.
Landing at Manchester.

I’ve just finished a US Airways 757 flight from Fort Lauderdale to Havana with a flight time of 43 minutes 😀
But if you want an exciting, busy and quick route to fly, just do the really simple Heathrow to Manchester.
well, the Aeroflot DC-10 is ok but did JMC even have an MD11?
Nope. Just two DC-10s. 😉
Thomson 757 on departure from Rhodes…
Some more great shots, guys, though I should point out that the bmi A320 is actually an A319 😉
and I’ve not been once!
Great reports though.
