Probably because Flyglobespan give you the option of a flight+hotel package, but you’re right, they’re not charter flights.
Even bmi does this.
Why would BAA want to use photos from Manchester anyway? They have seven of their own airports they can visit to get photographs.
We got the bus from the airport bus station on Saturday, shortly after arriving. That took a while to turn up and we were supposed to buy tickets, but were confused as to how to do it. We got on and the bus driver got off, so we didn’t get a chance to buy one.
A few minutes later, another bus driver got on and the bus got moving, and still, we didn’t have a ticket.
Anyway, we got there for free and done the same on the return, so it wasn’t so bad.
Some say the reason for the delay to our return flight was quite simply because we hadn’t bought our bus tickets… :rolleyes:
Excellent shots there Luke. I wish I could have gone, seemed like a better show than Farnborough last year (Civil Aviation wise).

There was definitely lots on offer, but one thing I hated about the Paris Air Show and probably the only thing that would put me off of going again was the disorganisation of the whole event.
Sorry, me again…
If you take a look at some of the flight reviews on CarSurvey.org, you’ll see a lot of passengers who have travelled with Aer Lingus have not been so proud with their decision to switch to a low cost airline.
Although this is one airline that does offer genuinely low cost fares from Heathrow (such as Shannon for £36 return!), I believe that the majority of passengers want a full-frills carrier to operate certain routes.
I’m convinced that this move could see a lot of passengers wanting to get to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester etc switching to British Airways – it will be their only option.
Unfortunately, if that is the case, I for one will not be using bmi again. I am not a huge fan of a low cost air travel and like all the frills when flying – something to eat and something to drink plus a nice, clean aircraft.
I am not impressed by what bmi claim to be offering. Their website does talk about fares that will be offered from Heathrow to their low-cost destinations, but I cannot see any difference between them and what they used to be. The only difference is that you’ll not get anything but a seat for your money, so its even more money in bmi’s pocket. 😡
I’m sure that to celebrate this achievement, an aircraft is going to fly one of Virgin Atlantic’s routes with 21 passengers on board, all of which will be 21 years of age.
Glad to see they’ve lasted as long as they have, but this seems a little odd. :confused:
Amazing considering the guy is only 12. Would be a very worthwhile investment for any airport, maybe even more so at the busier airports such as Heathrow or even Charles-de-Gaulle where that doomed Concorde departed from.
Excellent shots! The A340-600 looks amazing. 😀
Here are one or two of mine. Ideal as desktop wallpapers 😉

The **** responsible isn’t as good as they used to be. I can see one or two threads without a rating.
Great selection. 🙂
Unfortunately, my Paris Air Show photos are not too good. I expect this has something to do with the camera I have to make do with, that’s why I opted to work on the Charles-de-Gaulle shots first.
I fail to see why I should waste several hours of my time on something that frankly I don’t care that much about.
I can understand the a lot of the points you have made throughout this post and its great that like others, you are expressing your opinions.
I’m not telling you not to say what you are saying. I am like you and will say something if I feel it is appropriate, without thinking about what others will make of my views, but you do claim not to care about this business, but the number of lengthy posts you have made suggest otherwise.
But I do think that a) no more should be said on this topic b) the topic should possibly be deleted and c) like someone else said earlier, let’s avoid discussing it until the airline is fully up and running.
Lovely photos from everyone in this thread… top notch work guys. 😀
Was good to meet you again Allen, and you too Michael – And nice to meet a new face too, John.:)
And just as good to see you again, Mr. Simpson 😉
Was a great weekend though. The weather could not have been better. The sun shone all day every day the temperatures were constantly high.
Looking forward to meeting you all again some time soon.
Sounds like a nice idea.
Just one photo from me for now that springs to mind, but will have a rummage for another photo in the next few days.
Just to add, please supply as much information as possible (ie. location, aircraft, airline, date, etc). And if the ‘interesting’ factor isn’t obvious, it would be good to highlight what it is.
If anything, this should produce a thread of good quality shots 🙂
Location = Paris CDG
Aircraft = 747-400F
Airline = JAL Cargo
Date = 19 June 2005
When I go to Manchester in August, the outbound is a 757-200 and the inbound is also an A320. I’d love to get the Blue Peter 757 (G-CPEM) and would love even more to end up on an A320-100! 🙂
