Someone on the JetPhotos.net forum did talk about a Phuket Air 747-200 in Dubai a couple of months back though. It pushed back for departure, but some of the engines refused to start.
Phuket Air were forced to pay for passengers to fly with alternative airlines, back to Bangkok.
Let’s hope this isn’t the case when I travel with them next year. :rolleyes:
I’m sure that they will be a tremendous success. Extortionate fares, aircraft that are falling to pieces and flights to the most picturesque city on the planet; Baghdad.
Having sold “dozens” of tickets already, they’re sure to be popular.
I bought it the same night that I heard them play on Parkinson just a couple of weeks back. I had never heard of them before, but the song they sang persuaded me to buy the album.
Listened to it many times now, and noticed today that is has climbed to number 4 in the album chart!
How on earth can Whizz fill planes like 737/320s on a regular basis on a route such as LPL-Katowice? LHR-Katowice would be difficult enough. Who is this Whizz? Are they no seat no/no drink/no hot meal/15KG baggage airlines? Do hope not!
As far as I am aware, WizzAir is a Hungarian low cost airline which currently flies from London Luton, offering competitive fares to the Hungarian capital, Budapest.
They have a brilliant colour scheme – certainly very colourful 😀
Are there any direct links with these destinations (particularly Budapest) from the north of England or even Scotland? I didn’t think there were.
I ask because there seems to plenty of possibilities for flights to these destinations from London Airports. Budapest is served by British Airways from London Heathrow and London Gatwick, easyJet from Gatwick, Luton (?) and Stansted and Wizzair from Luton.
However crazy it may sound, the airline seems to be making every possible effort to ensure that as few passengers are affected as possible. They are hoping that the passengers whose flights are cancelled will settle for being transferred onto another flight at a later or earlier time.
It seems the webmaster is not an easy person to get hold of. Even his email address doesn’t seem to work. Either that or my recent email was just ignored?
