    I think i would rather use Applefares.com:
    http://www.applefares.com/v11/index.php

I just peformed a search using that for perhaps 10 different flights, specifying dates to travel with a 4 day either side flexibility setting.

Total results for all four searches… none 😑 Looks like a waste of time to me.

You get what you pay for.

The bitching about Ryanair on here gets very tiresome.

We are all free to express our concerns and thats what most of us are doing. To call it ‘bitching’ is a little over the top.

Gothenburg City Airport? 30 kms outside the City? someone get onto the Advertising Standards commsion…

    Someone already has… me :p

I done it months ago though and unless someone knows who regulates advertising in Ireland, nothing can be done. The UK Advertising Standards Authority said that there is little they can do since they are not a British company.

I came across a cheap Ryanair flight the other day. The cost of the ticket there and back came to just Β£1.

Taxes took it up to £28 😑

Nice collection of shots there, was it you who used the Minolta Z1?

Nope. I use some shoddy Fuji digital thing. It has good features for the price it costs, but the images come out very soft around the edges. With a nice, big paycheck on the way, a new camera could be possibility.

Were you in Mrytle Avenue? It must be the best place for photos at LHR!
    All good quality stuff.

    Dave

Certainly was Myrtle Avenue. I met up with Andy at about 11.00am and aircraft were arriving on 27L, so the best place to watch without any distractions was the grassy area at the end of the street. I think they usually change over at about 3.00pm, so we were expecting to have to move as the time approached.

Shortly after 3.00pm, aircraft started taxiing to 27L for departure and 27R was suddenly out of action, handling no aircraft at all. For some reason, aircraft continued to arrive on 27L whilst a queue of aircraft built up, none of them going anywhere.

Anyway, just my final six photographs from yesterday…

I flew a mbi Star billboard A321 to LHR from MAN last month if u may remember πŸ˜‰

The A321 in Star Alliance colours is G-MIDL and the Star Alliance colours you see on the bmi A320 there are the old ones and I believe that is G-MIDW(??)

The IL-96 is stunning – superb

I wish an Il-96 would have come in, but I think the one you are referring to is actually a 777-200 :p

    Excellent photographs, Andy.

Nice to see you managed to get the MalΓ©v 737 in focus… I didn’t, and I even cut the nose and tail off! πŸ™

Surely the 2-door approach would be better?

That way, economy passengers can board the aircraft and make a right turn and the premium economy passengers (let’s not call it First Class) can make a left turn. The 1-door option would mean that economy passengers have to trek through the posh part of the aircraft. πŸ˜€

Do Blue Peter still run that competition for the biggest sunflower? I think your flower might get more attention there. πŸ˜‰

Buy yourself a .co.uk domain name for about Β£4 for 2 years from http://www.oneandone.co.uk/ and then invest in a low cost hosting package.

By doing this, your site will not have to display ads. It’s the best move I ever made.

Why do these idiots say they have drugs and bombs when they don’t? They are wasting police time when they could be sorting out a real bomb case!

It’s not so much the police whose time is being waste, but also the passenger. We’re at the busiest time of the year for travel and many passengers would have been jetting off to the sun for a week or two. Having spent hundreds of pounds for their break, the last thing any of them want is a delay because of some fool leaving their bag unattended.

With the world on such a high terror alert; especially these ‘western’ countries, people should know better than to abandon their belongings for any period of time in such a place. Even at my local train station, with just two platforms, there are automatic announcements every 4 or 5 minues, advising passengers not to leave their bags alone.
