And that 3,000ft shortage is the two minutes longer it would take that I stated… (2 minutes x 1,500ft/min)

So there you have it, it wouldn’t make it. That’s a really morbid question to ask! 🙁

The aircraft needs 20 minutes to get down but falling at a rate of 1,500ft a minute, will be hit the ground in 18 minutes, so it won’t make the airport.

    Is that right?

Absolutely brilliant photographs and huge selection, too. I really like the Air Tahiti Nui colour scheme, looks so tropical!

Gulf Air colour scheme looks nice(ish).

Great photos as per usual. It’s definitely not the end of the world if Airliners.net refuse photographs. They accept the visually boring ones because they are good quality. These are great and it’s not your loss if they aren’t accepted, but that of Airliners.net. 🙂

They withdrew the 1030 service quite some time ago and it’s just the 1830 departure that remains in service.

I done my work experience in year 11 of secondary school, 3 years ago.

We done ours in October and had to plan it ourselves. I started to look for a placement at the start of the year (Jan/Feb time) and wrote to British Airways. It took a good 6 weeks to get a reply and they told me that they had to keep them for those being educated locally.

Pathetic.. those who are missing out should just have to go elsewhere!

Anybody want to go up there in the coming weeks to make the most before it’s closure?

If Low Cost carriers are going to behave in such a way, I cannot see low cost transport overtaking the larger, “real” carriers such as British Airways for example.

If I was ever going to fly low cost, it’d definitely be easyJet. Ryanair crack me up with their destinations… Barcelona-Girona especially! 🙂

I agree with the name sounding dated, but First Choice is definitely much simpler.

What seems so hard to believe is that the photograph was taken just a few hours ago! But it definitely a brilliant shot.

    I best post a few “shocked” smilies too… 😮 😮 😮 😮

Good news for Aer Lingus and nice to see their passengers being offered more variety.

Is there a chance with Dubrovnik route that British Airways and Aer Lingus will operate codeshare flights? I know LGW-BLQ is a codeshare, with British Airways flying the route all the time.

I managed to take my T-Mobile T100 overseas to Thailand. It worked no problem, it’s the call charges that can be a real b.astard though.

25p to send a text messgage, but free to receive. £1.75/min to make a call, £1.40/min to receive. I just use the 1 baht/min Internet Cafés!
