RE: Pics of the day….Night time in the airport.
That all depends on the airline though. I was more than pleased with British Airways Boeing 737-400 (G-DOCM) in February. What airlines give economy travellers leather seats with an above average amount of leg room?
RE: Great time at LHR.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-10-02 AT 10:17 PM (GMT)]This is where my name on the forum begins to mean something – Terminal 5!
Don’t blame you. I’ve only paid it as a one off. It was something stupid like £2.50 for 30 minutes. NCP make enough from their other car parks across the country and not just at the airports!
I get really confused by the runways at Heathrow, but I came across a great spot right next to one end of a runway with fantastic views into the airport. It’s an Esso Petrol Station and is great, it does not require anything, like binoculars or long lenses etc as everything is so close.
The people working in the station don’t mind the people who park up and look on in amazement, just as long as you keep buying newspapers or sweets from them! 😛
I invested in a film scanner on Saturday and am currently in the process of developing a black and white film from this exact spot. Give me a couple of days and I’ll get some posted.

P.S. A330 – Did you or do you take your own photographs?
RE: Pics of the day….Night time in the airport.
All very good photos.. I am particularly keen on the ANA 747 and the BA 737. You may remember I asked about flights to Bologna (Italy) a few months back. It turns out, I am flying from Gatwick (not Heathrow as originally thought) and I’m fly on a BA 737 there and back. I’d like some variation – Barcelona was a 737 out and an A319 in! But the 737 looks great.
RE: Great time at LHR.
A330,
Whereabouts at Heathrow did you go? Some of the best views are those from the top of the short stay car parks but they forbid people taking photos or even standing, watching over the edge! Some women came up to me earlier in the year and asked me to leave but had a fag in her mouth. I thought this was unprofessional and said that until she removed and extinguished it, I would pay no attention! 😉
RE: Airliner World November Issue
Yup, got mine too.. wasn’t expecting it quite so soon.
It had the article I have been looking forward to for months – Montego Bay. I was upset to see it had just two pages, none of which had pictures from inside the terminal. 🙁
RE: Abuse in the cabin
interesting…
I think this sort of thing is completely unacceptable and those causing the trouble deserve what they get.
Thanks for those stats.

RE: Some BA news!
Better safe than sorry – good to see fighter jets could be there to ensure the BA aircraft’s safety.
RE: Small Challenge…Identify the airlines.
Are these more of your own designs and you’re fooling us into believing they are real?!! 😛
RE: What do you work as?
Year 13 student (so, in my last year of school) and also working part time for an American Off-Price Fashion Retailer as they like to call it – I’ll not mention the name of the place though 😉

RE: Small Challenge…Identify the airlines.
lol.. excellent stuff – got us all baffled! I can only identify the Midewest Express MD-8x which has already been said!
RE: We never speak about this one :why?
The Air Jamaica from what I can gather is just a one off. Looking on Airliners.net a few moments ago I noticed the other aircraft in the fleet: A320s and A340 have light grey engines. I’m not too keen on the flag on the engine myself, like you say, it looks cluttered.
RE: IDENTIFY THE AIRLINES :: Quiz
Well, there seems very little point in giving the answers. Well done to all of you who participated for getting something right.
Here’s the answers and registrations of aircraft used..
1. Transavia 737-8K2 (PH-HZY)
2. Germania 737-75B (D-AGEL)
3. Uzbekistan 767-33P/ER (VP-BUZ)
4. Sabre
5. Excel Airways
Well done once again!
