RE: Can someone give me advice on safety cards?
I got an Airtours 767 and A330 safety card. Not for sale though as they no longer exist, I also got a Britsh Midland (not bmi) A320 and a Monarch A330.
RE: Pic Of The Day-Kai Tak
Nice pic Kabir. The United livery has certainly changed a lot since then! For the best some might say.
RE: Kabir??
Come out come out wherever you are (he says to Kabir)!
RE: Can someone give me advice on safety cards?
‘Prices’ for safety cards? Don’t people steal them these days? Or are you talking about buying from the thieves?
RE: Iberworld A330. PIC
Certainly is a brilliant shot. The A330 is certainly a great aircraft, just look at it – it’s got something which mkaes it really interesting!
RE: Pic Of The Day-High Above!!
can i have some bonues points for pointing out that its a 747?
RE: Airport picture of the day-Madiera
Airtours… 😀 Sadly no longer with us… 🙁
RE: Airlinerworld has a log book!!!!
Also very good… I actually contact the webmaster before Dan330 constructed his and he said that he’d think about it…
is there going to be competition between the two?
RE: Confessions of an air steward
I’m about 99% sure that the aircraft models in the background were Monarch aircraft. Being a charter-flyer myself, I can only hope they don’t do this on Monarch flights!
I found one woman particularly funny when she said a kid was running in and out of the galley so when he went to the toilet, she locked him! Great stuff!
I have been quite saddened to see that the adventures of easyJet on ITV’s Airline has not been on for a couple of weeks now. It’s tragic, they’d rather put some other rubbish on!
RE: Two Extremes
What a great looking aircraft…

RE: Air Disasters : Quiz 2
[b]Sorry…!![/b}
I made a mistake, thats why you couldn’t get number 3 right…
1. Garuda Indonesia
2. Just one passenger in seat 26K.
3. Correction It was in fact 13th November 1995 and not 1985. It was Nigeria Airways in Kaduna.
4. The aircraft was an Airbus A310-300 of Aeroflot, registration F-OGQS. All 75 on board were killed. The accident occurred in Mezhdurechensk, Russia.
Well done everyone and sorry for the mess-up!
RE: BA Pic
I’d agree with you there – older livery was far superior to the current livery.
The 767, what a fantastic aircraft and it’s in a British livery, thats even better!
RE: Help with UK Charter Airlines…??
Sorry LGKR… I’ve only just seen your question at the end of your post. We would never say no to help.
If you could give us anything relating to the 6 airlines I’ve named above, it would be greatly appreciated.
If you want to write about another UK Charter airline (preferably one that is still in operation) please feel free to do so… older airline will come at a later date.
RE: Help with UK Charter Airlines…??
At the moment it’s just going to be Excel, MyTravel, Britannia, Air 2000, Monarch and JMC. I think that overloading ourselves with yet more airlines would just put us under too much pressure and thus making the workload too much to bear. The likes of Caledonian and Flying Colours will get a mention in the history of JMC section.
Once the six main airlines are completed, we will of course look to expand and mention other airlines including Air Scandic which you have mentioned.
Hope this helps.
RE: Airline Names
That’s a good question – I was thinking of this a few months ago. I’d call mine Royal Berkshire Airways. Berkshire is the county in which I live and although it’s not got it’s own International airport just yet, it’s pretty close to Heathrow and called “royal” because of Windsor.
I would operate a fleet of 767s and A320s. 767s for Long haul and A320 for short haul.
