Well, you got them all between you..

    1. Olympic Airways
    2. Boeing 747-400
    3. British Midland 737-400
    4. MD-80 (MD-81)

    Well done 😉

I wouldn’t agree with the fact that most of them go at unsociable hours. If the same aircraft does the same jounrney two or three times a day, there is really only one of the flights going at a crappy time.

On the longer flights, they go at unsociable hours to get you there for a decent time thus making your holiday last a few hours longer.

But it sounds a good idea to me anyway.

I got up close to one of those An-124s a few holidays ago and they really are giants..!

Great pic as per usual! 🙂

    just 12…

Just 12 years for me, hopefully won’t go beyond 13 as I couldn’t really be bothered with any more. My time in our education system is nearing an end.

EGNM – if you like the 757/A320/A321 and DC10, you’ll love the A330s. A charter airline offering seatback TVs for every passenger?

I could only really like the charters as I only fly with them, but Airtours and Britannia both rate very highly.

Very nice. I certainly wouldnt say no to one but it doesn’t have a very ‘homely’ feel for me. It’s a bit too classy.

Certainly very nice though. We could put all our pocket money together and buy one!

Fantastic aircraft… they have their own A330s, but they still have to pinch the A330s from JMC!

    It’s an absolutely stupid verdict!

What I can’t get over is the fact that the Greeks cannot seem to recognise “Plane-spotting” as being a hobby?

I hope the appeal goes the right way for them and that they are back home soon.

    Sorry… me again.

Why not have a 12 hour “eye-spy” marathon? You could have the topic as airports and aircraft and keep going non-stop for 12 hours – so long as you have some others wanting to play.

Drink plenty of caffeine (coke and coffee) and take a pocket chess set!

Okay… so this will not cure your boredom and watching planes in the dark is not good either. You’ll see a few lights and that’ll be the lot.

You could hope for a delay on your flight to Newark which would be mean a later arrival. This also means that you are delayed for half the time at two airports, meaning there’s loads to do i.e. stock up on duty free ciggies and booze.

Then again, if you aren’t a smoker or a drinker, you’re stuck and I think it will prbably be the longest 12 hours of your life. 🙁

The 744 coming to an end? Crikey, better get my last orders in!

It would be a great shame because the aircraft really is the Queen of the Skies and a real looker compared to other aircraft.

Saab – that would be brilliant. We’re planning on doing an overview of each airline e.g how they were formed, when they were formed etc. Going from day 1 to present day.

If you could help it would be brilliant!

How very British (obviously Heathrow). I too liked that ivery but airlines are going crazy at the moment and changing liveries which are fine and just making them look awful.
