RE: Flight Log Book?
That’s an interesting question? Perhaps a website with a guestbook or just a website where you email info in and it is constantly updated? I don’t think it would be too challenging.
RE: My experience with Air France.
Very interesting report. I like a bit of huomour in these things, it makes them incredibly interesting.
There are many things which these days are standard on commercial flights (wouldn’t you agree?) e.g. crap food, limited leg-room in economy and rude cabin crew. Of course, there are some exceptions, but if I don’t like something, I make it clear, even if I am only 16 years old.
If the cabin crew cannot cope with the unsociable hours in which their job entails, they should work in a shop where they can work 5 days a week from 0900-1800 or something and that should cheer them up!
RE: B777. PIC
I remember back in ’94 when when the 777 was put through a test flight. It didnt go according to plan and upon landing, the tyres all caught fire because too much pressure was put on them on touchdown.
It’s certainly a nice aircraft but in my opinion, not the best by Boeing. Doesn’t quite beat the smaller 767.
RE: Nothing’s Impossible? Try This!
Not bad, but Airtours charge a rather distubring 60p for a 150ml can so easyJet can be proud with their £1/330ml cans!

LGKR – the jmc avatar image looks good!
RE: Favorite weekend activity (keep it clean!)
I am in school five days a week and have no full days. On a Thursday, I’m done by 10:25am and can go home.
I work on a Saturday and Sunday and have to get up at about 6:45hrs and trot to the train station where I travel the 6 or 7 miles into Reading (the town centre). I don’t have a proper finishing time, it changes so often.
Sunday I’m out the house by 09:15hrs and get the train again and stay at work until 18:00hrs.
RE: Never before seen…. 732!!
thanks Ja,
I’m gonna get started on a full re-paint then of me favourite a/c, the McDonnell Douglas DC-10.
Back in a few hours!
RE: ill
poor old me sat on a 10 hour flight and then got on a cruise ship for a week. i never become sick on aircraft but sailing almost killed me.
my top tip is when you’re on a boat, simply go as far down as possible as there is not as much motion. if the boat rocks from side to side, it does so from the bottom which will not be quite as bad as the main decks up the top of the boat.
RE: Air 2000
That’s bad news – Air 2000 has a great livery.
It’s always exciting when this happens though – see if it can top Monarch’s brilliant new livery!
RE: QUIZ!!
Very very hard… to hard for me to attempt. If anyone wants a copy of my quiz by email, post your email address below and I’ll send you one. I’ve sent one to KabirT, Benair316P and andrewm. Anyone scores more than about 2 out of 10 and there’s something special up for grabs!
By doing it by email, nobody can see what others have put for something and it gets more accurate results.
RE: Pic Of The Day-Kai Tak Again
Do you think when they come to selling that that the estate agent will tell the potential buyer that it can get noisy as the airport is quite close?
I too would pay more than the asking price for a house with a view like that!
RE: Never before seen…. 732!!
Any requests for the next aircraft you want to see in exclusive Airliner World livery?
How about the 767 or the even more fantastic DC-10?
RE: Off Take
How incredibly inconvenient… I could have said Concorde to start! There is a brilliant little Esso garage where you can stand on a wall and get fantastic views of Concorde take-off.
RE: Airbus A319
We too had no entertainment but for short haul there is really no need. Just as you get settled with a good programme, it’s usually time for landing. Mine was just 1h 45mins and I could only just accept having to watch a map on very sparsely distributed TV screens.
I personally think that using an A319 for a four a half hour flight is ridiculous. That should be a medium haul flight because calling it short haul is stupid.
Is the route usually operated by an A319?
RE: Off Take
This one is classed as a takeoff/landing. My parents visited Cuba a year ago and flew to Holguin. It’s a very small airport dealing with very few flights. They filmed the aircraft (Monarch A330) coming in to land as it would finish off their holiday video, but it was fast approaching the end of the runway and just a few feet from touchdown, had to climb again.
I s’pose this is a pretty regular occurence, but it was a fantastic video to see.
