She has a pressure carb but no inverted tank, this may change of course;)

If you are doing a 6 ship she can fly lead, until the tank is done.

Has it a pressurized carburetter so she can fly inverted?

Great shots, just a shame that there is not so much movement in the props.

When you book a flight in the netherlands on a dc3 you have to be a member of there society. So you are not taking the normal paying passenger.

For the bolero 2 meet we met just in front of the entrance to the flightline. That way there was enough space and the guard could see how many to let through for a free pass and a photo. If only we could organise a meet to coinside with a photo with the 3 17’s. Perhaps someone could pull a few strings and get us in front of LB? Someone on here must be able to do that ? 🙂

How many of us have a life side pass??

flyingcloggie, it’s well known and documented that ML407 was active and scored the first kill plus had a hand in the second kill on D Day. Right down to the fact that pilot Johnny Houlton flew in it again over the beaches on the 50th Anniversary, as well as mentioning it in his book and in documentaries.

Where are you getting your information from? I’ve never heard it before.

It come from the book Spitfire the New Zealand story, but also with the Dutch at some time when they where restoring MK732. Maybe Mark12 can shine some light on it. Will see if I can dig up a copy of the sqn log.
